SNF - Bolts vs Stillers

I swear, it looked like the Steelers thought the refs were not going to call multiple offsides on them in Pittsburgh so if they kept doing it, they would get away with it.

That's the same tactic that Pittsburgh used when the league first started to address the head-to-head hits. They *****ed about it and just kept doing it until the refs stopped calling it. That eventually led to the end of Ryan Shazier's career.

It was fun to read this thread this morning.

That was a huge game for the Pats. Now they could lose to Pitt in two weeks and still get a bye in the playoffs.

I've always been a fan of Phillip Rivers and now I'm still a fan. If he takes a game against the Chiefs I'll like him even more.

On the flip side, Mike Triplin is not only a dumb f**k coach he's also totally unlikable. I hope he stays as their HC for many years to come.

And now it's time to move on to Miami. In spite of what many fans think, that won't be an easy game down there. It never is.

mildly surprised this morning. turned the game off at half time. surprising to see the Bolts scoring 23 unanswered points against the stealers in pitt. man, those fans most have been going nuts:D:D:D

Look, there's been thousands of utter morons associated in some capacity within the NFL. That doesn't bother me at all. There's morons everywhere...but more on that later. What galls me to no end is the DELIBERATE spin that these sports megaliths vomit out on the airwaves every single day. It's not even thinly veiled, it's blatant and it's an insult to every New Englander with any sense of fairness or objectivity. The buck stops at 345 Park Avenue, NYC.

I would volunteer time out of my day to man a microphone on an independent station with other like minded individuals and rip the lid off this disgusting obscenity being run by the NFL. Wish some wealthy person would step up and back a pilot.

Don't ever watch that NFL Network show Good Morning Football. Given your position here, and the amount of rump swabbing done by the host of that abysmal program, you'll end up stroking out.

My friend, don't let it bother you. We, as Pats fans, benefit from the fact that Pittsburgh has a mental midget as a head coach. If the perception is that he is Mr. Wonderful, that helps keep him in the same job (which helps us).

I have to give the devil's their due: Pittsburgh is a phenomenally talented team. The last thing I want is for them to get a competent HC.

Houston losing has become the most difficult part of any Pats/bye scenario. It seems more likely than not that they will run the table. The Colts don’t inspire any confidence even in a divisional game and the Eagles are more often bad than they are good.

Pats need to win out to get a bye
This happens every year. People look at the competition and see them winning out because they are better than their upcoming opponents.

But, in the real world, it never works out that way. At this time last year, everyone in here saw Jax winning out - then they lost to 3-10 San Francisco.

Best fans in the NFL!

What’s with all these wanna be tough guys taking sucker shots at football games?

I hope the kid who head butted the drunk overweight guy is in jail right now. That’s flat out felony assault and also an insanely cowardly move

Sure but by that token, the Pats could lose 2-3 right? Any given Sunday and such

The Texans have been playing great ball and have a cream puff schedule down the stretch. 4-0 is more likely for them than the Pats given remaining opponents and current level of play.

Hopefully yesterday’s Pats are what we will see the final 4 weeks. However thjs team has been awful on the road and finish with 3 of 4 on the road including in Brady’s house of horrors next week and then at Pittsburgh who, despite losing yesterday, is a much tougher matchup than anyone Houston has left

There are reasons for optimism after yesterday’s game but anyone who thinks the Texans are likely to lose more games than the Pats is probably biased. The same number of games I can see (both go 3-1) but I think it’s very unlikely the Texans drop 2 whereas it’s a possibility for the Pats given their next two and their awful road performances this year

People who get into physical altercations about Sports Teams are mouth-breathing jokes IMO. You want to take some verbal shots or whatever, fine have at it.
Take it to that next level, I hope you are punished to the full extent of the law. Adults should never behave like that.

Part of the reason I barely go to bars anymore (or games in person for that matter) - too many obnoxious, idiot drunks that can't control their behavior.

Such a weird game. I thought for sure the Chargers were gonna get blown out.

1) Chargers always blow big games
2) Steelers had a large lead, TWICE (13-0 & 23-7), at home, where they are very difficult to beat with a large lead. Steelers looked great and the Chargers looked awful in the beginning of the game. Shook my head, and thought, typical Chargers, and went to sleep. Expected to wake up to see a 42-17 final or something similar.

Was pleasantly shocked when I woke up this morning to see the score.

Head butting is exactly what to do.

The big guy was all in his face. Dont want to get head butted, then stay out of peoples faces.

Sure, but if it looks like youre the one about to be on the receiving end then there is no choice.

Some folks look for trouble. I dont even get into verbal altercations and Ive been to 5 Super Bowls and 1 to 2 road games a year. An Eagles thug fan tried to run me off the sidewalk in Minny by walking directly at me. A pajama boy snowflake pushed me in the chest in Denver as I was walking to the rest room. A Bengals hillbilly was being egged on by his neighbors and relatives to swing on me.

Oh no doubt, someone comes at you, handle your business. I'm hating on the guy starting the physical altercation, not receiving it.

That’s the first thing that I thought of, too. The game was heading to OT had it not been for the offsides call(s). Tomlin and his crew will find an excuse for every weakness that they have. Just imagine if this had been the NE game.

While I agree about Tomlin, the game wasn't heading for OT. The reason that first kick was missed is pretty clear. He pulled it to the left in an effort to avoid the horrendously offsides rusher from the right side blocking it.
