The Kareem Hunt release is different than Reuben Foster in the sense the video should prevent any team from claiming him on waivers.

I don't subscribe to the belief that there is nothing a woman can do to you for you to hit her back. He pushed her, that kick people are citing was not a violent kick and appears to be another push with his legs to me.
So people are ok for a guy to loose his job over what they saw in that video? Lying to the Chiefs is a different issue and brings his credibility into question but loosing his job over this?
100% overreaction by the Chiefs. I will be rooting for him to get a second chance and learn from this.

Aside from the assault, obviously this is a huge blow to the Chiefs. Hunt, despite being an apparently terrible guy, is a phenomenally talented player and obviously he shredded the Patriots on two occasions the past two seasons. I just don't think they have the ability to replace a guy of his playmaking ability.

We as a society have a hand in things like this. The terms “racism” and “racist” have been so watered down now that very little people know what the true definitions of the words are. They’ve essentially been rendered to buzzword status. If you polled a sample of people and asked them to cite the true definition of the word “racism,” how many do you think would actually get it right without Googling it? When things that aren’t racist are labeled as such every single day, it turns society into an overly senesitive bunch walking on eggshells. To a lesser extent, it also breeds contempt for other races and/or classes.

Agreed. We taught our boys there are 4 basic rules to guydom, the same 4 I was taught and number 2 is: The obligation of the strong is to protect the weak, never abuse a position of power.

Never going to beat a female, that is where you get into trouble, but if she dishes out, she can also take about half of what she dished out. For example, I have held both hands of a drunk female, at football game, together until security came to prevent her from hitting us because she said we were sitting at the wrong area since we came from out of town. She started to kick, so I stepped on her feet with just enough force not to hurt her.
I just don't like the idea of being abused and just walking away. It is not right, we are all equal and I truly believe that.

Not the wild west indeed, but again, what I saw in the video is not what I call a beating. Beating to me has always and will always be striking someone with blows. The cops did not arrest him and I don't think it was because he was an NFL player. Please watch all the videos around this incident, watch the cops interview of all those involved.

I had to restrain a crazy ex multiple times after sucker punching me. The last time it happened which ended up being the night that we broke up for good, she hit me right on my eye socket. I slammed her hard to the ground by her throat and then squeezed the air out of her until I got control of my temper again. She called the cops but when the cops looked at my eye (she hit me with a ring) they just basically gave us a warning. Got a text from her the next night asking me to come over and I went and changed my phone number the next day and blocked her on Facebook.
