QB of the future

Week 11 qb rankings

1.) herbet - still number 1, but his hold is starting to slip.

2.) Grier - really coming in strong.

3.) Thorson - all things considered, he has had a decent season less a clunker game or two.

I can't believe Hurts is being discussed here. He is a mediocre college QB, his upside is an NFL backup. He was holding the Bama offense back, that was obvious before Tua went in. McCarron was a stud compared to Hurts. Hurts its a great teammate, though he may have a future as a coach but not as a player

I agree. With him at QB, if you had bama 3rd and 8 or more you were pretty confident you were getting off the field. I think he’s really limited as a passer.

Week 12 ranking:

1.) Herbert - still lingering doubts that he declares.,

2.) Grier - was pretty impressive in the loss.

3.) Jones - duke may have been mauled by Clemson , but this kid is impressive.

Will Grier looks really good. Every single throw is a pro read and throw. He'd be ready to start in year 1. Arm strength looks better than I recall too.

I didn't know Grier had this family of star wanna bees. Dancing with the Stars, Instagram, I hate to be judgemental but that didn't do it for me. Hopefully there's a 2nd to 3rd round guy we can develop otherwise I am sadly waiting again. I like Haskins but if he comes out I think he will be gone. Sucks to need a QB.

Week 13 qb ranking:

1.) Jones of duke. If he lands in the right system, like ours, and has time to learn, he could be really good. I have a second round grade on him, but someone will overdraft this kid on potential.

2.) Grier is West Virginia - short and his arm is only so-so, but he makes good decisions and is fairly accurate. I have a second round grade on him and maybe bb bites, but next year could be a huge qb year.

3.) Herbert of Oregon - these last couple of weeks he had not had great tape. not sure what is going on , but he should come back next year for sure.

4.) Haskins of Ohio state - not a lot of tape on him, but he makes plays, had a good arm and is fairly accurate.

I would love for the Pats to land Grier, the guy is clutch, and just a good QB, plain & simple. People talk about his height (same height as Garappollo) or his arm (looks good to me). He really doesn’t have a good team, yet he keeps em in every game, even against some top notch teams. He’s just a good QB. Two years behind Brady, learning THIS offense, which is tailor made for him, would be a perfect transition for the Pats.

Though typical Belichick, will probably trade picks for future picks, and watch him NOT draft a QB early.

Would love Jones or Stidham, I like Grier too but not as much as the first two

Herbert is a perfect example of a guy where, if you're really honest about it, you sit back and ask yourself "what is he good at?" It can happen at any position, but QB it happens more because of the amount of skills required to play.

You can say he has potential to do this and that, but at some point you have to ask what they're actually good at. And with Herbert, I can't think of a single thing, other than being above average as a runner in the open field.

I’d like to see them bring in Jake Browning out of U Washington with a late pick.

I saw a mock for another team where they wanted to draft Fitzgerald the qb from miss state, if he runs well at his pro day and convert him to a Wr.

Bb ahead of the curve yet again!

Why not just save time and draft David Sills V then?

Build the team prior to getting a QB. No point having the next guy if he has nothing to work with. My Ideal guy for when the time comes is Jake Fromm. All day long

Easton Stick or Brett Rypien.

Easton Stick comes from the same school that Wentz went to. He's a winner that has good mobility and can run an offense. Definitely a project but with good coaching and full time commitment to training can be a good qb.

uh did anybody mention jordan love yet? I was watching some highlights and was very impressed. Only a sophmore though.

good arm, smooth delivery, can make some nfl throws. Mobile, dual threat. Really like this kid.
