Turkey Day Games Thread

Why did the Patriots release Austin Carr again?

If NO does indeed make it to the SB, it’ll basically be a home game for them due to ATL being a division rival whom they OWN.

He’s 151-107 in his career. I get that he’s had some big challenges, but the notion that this anything close to his normal season is ridiculous. Bottom line is he cannot carry a team consistently like Rodgers and Manning. You can talk about the problems with the Saints, but in their primes no matter who they had, Rodgers and Manning had their teams atop the division if not a playoff bye. I haven’t seen Brees will the team to victory and right the ship in the same way. Brees has eight seasons where his teams were .500 or worse. I don’t see how a supposed generational quarterback can get off the hook so easy. It seems like Brees has been somewhat under appreciated for awhile but there is also a reason he isn’t in that top tier class. Now it’s like people are trying to make up for their underappreciation by over the top praise. He’s gone from being on most people’s top 8-12 greatest QBs list to 1-5 based on a ten game stretch? Short memories.

He's certainly shot right past TB12 in career TD passes this year. And stop with the '.500 or worse'. He's been playing for an organization that hasn't been remotely as competent as the Pats and he's been pretty much step for step with Brady in performance. His career QB rating is 97.8 to TB's 97.4. He's thrown 517 TD passes. Try to realize that there ARE other great players in the NFL besides TB12.

I don’t see how anyone can argue otherwise.

And it's not like Brees is throwing it to all pros. I'd double Thomas on every play. put Elandon on Kamara, kidding of course.

Brady's the GOAT. There's no debate.
But Brees makes a pretty strong case for #3 all time after TB and Montana.
So Rodney practiced against 2 of the 3 greatest QBs of all time.

No one is arguing that Brees has had a better career than Brady. The argument is that Brees is in the conversation for maybe the 2nd greatest QB of all time. People use his record to try and distance him in these conversations, but IMO he's top 3, maybe 2nd behind Brady. His defenses have been awful over the years though. Not his fault.

No way you put Brees ahead of Montana.
Not even close.

Brees better than Joe Montana???

Coming into this year they had the same amount of TD passes and Brees has almost 100 more interceptions. Step for step???

Brees isn't top 5 all time. Top 10.. yes. He needs another ring
Sorry man, you can't name me 5 better QBs all time than Brees.
TB indisputably #1. Montana indisputably #2.
But Brees has a stronger case for #3 than anyone else. Ahead of Manning,Favre,Staubach,Unitas.

Rodney keeps calling 6-1 measured Sanu 6-4 for some reason.

Ryan rolling out to the right, awful play lol.

That’s on sark. That 3rd down run when they’ve been getting stuffed all night was rediculous. When we complain about McD just remember it can be much worse.
