Except the team totally falls apart without Brady where that may not be the case with Edelman. Again, I’m not advocating that they do it at all. I’m just asking if anyone wouldn’t be shocked by it.

Given Edelman's contract status, I'd be completely shocked. There's a better chance that they would trade Brady & there's a 0% chance they'll do that...

If they’re targeting a wideout, would anyone be surprised at Edelman being offered as trade bait? Just asking that makes me sad.
Not a chance IMO. He remains our most reliable receiver by a considerable margin and had a big game last night. Then consider the relationship with Brady.

I would be absolutely stunned.

Can you imagine the ensuing hostilities if they did anything like that?

I went into semi hysterics when amendola left along with cooks and they tried to trade gronk. It’s like the walking dead series

I would be shocked. I think Edelman is more important to the offense than Gronk. Without him Brady might threaten to hang em up.

Did you see this offense at the start of the year with no Edelman

there is literally nobody that wouldn't be absolutely shocked if Edelman was gone

Call me simple, but I like the idea of Demaryius Thomas here, even at his price tag, assuming they can make room. Thomas can beat you in a lot of ways, and at 6'3" is another big target like Gordon. The only issue is this would be two key wide receivers trying to learn the playbook at the same time. I imagine that's going to lead to some big problems.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit....

Wait, WHAT!? The way Hightower was playing early on in the season, I'd 100% have gone for this. Even now it might be a good move. But High has been playing pretty well lately. This would be a bombshell.

Trade value doesn’t make much sense. That’s a random twitter account as well.

I did. Perhaps you would like to read the rest of my posts in this thread. Go back to the start of page 3.

Wtf cool let's just disregard the defense, don't believe it considering our defensive issues Hightower shouldn't even be a thought.

I wonder why HT is being rumored to get traded. Has his play fell off that much?
