Jags players arrested in UK bar brawl; game starts in 12 hours

it is incredible how sometimes you read what NFL playiers are doing...how can you drink before a game in that way, stay out in the dark night, go into troubles in that way ?

i think that JAX has also to play them as otherwise who is going to play DB ?

anyway this is real a bad situation also for the league, not what they are looking for to expand the game...
First off......this incident occurred Saturday at 4AM.....not Sunday at 4 AM.
Note: this thread began last night
Second....I can't think of one reason why this is bad for the NFL. Look at us right now....rubber necking this apparent train wreck......eager to flip on the tele to see first hand these headline grabbers. Big Bad American Footballers raising hell in London.....Front page.
Beautiful. Joe Namath approves
I had no idea there was a Sunday AM game. Now I do. Nice job boys!
Third....tabloids sensationalize. 200 lb DBs are now Godzillas?
Fourth....I guarantee there are bar bill details that have been left out. The impression is that 4 players ran up the bill....but the I see "staffers" and "group" quietly mentioned in the article.

Would he, being a Muslim, condone imbibing alcoholic beverages? Abet it? Doubtful.
He condones pocketing the profits from overpriced adult beverages served at the Jacksonville stadium

my guess is that he pays the bill (or the team does) and then gets the money back from the responsible players by fining them.

Just imagine the furor if the Patriots had done this. The news would linger for weeks, the character assassination would be off the chain, and the Omissioner* would need to sport a bib for all his drooling at the prospect of his schemes to punish them.

The rich, royals, politician “muslims” party like there’re no limits. He might not support it in public to save his image but it would be more than likely that the “muslim” billionaires aren’t saying no to alcohol.

What do clubs feature vs. the pubs -- live music and food?

Trouble flared after they were accused of trying to leave the London Reign Showclub without paying their tab yesterday.

The players, who earn an average of £43,000 a week, squared up to bouncers outside the nightspot.

A source said “It was the West End equivalent of King Kong meeting Godzilla.”

The Jaguars are in the capital for an NFL match against Philadelphia Eagles at Wembley today. A group of players and staff attended the private members club, which features burlesque and circus performers.

I find myself kind of speechless at this. I didn’t think aspiring Super Bowl teams drank all night before a game.
Two nights before game

Note....additional 5 Jags were at club besides the Fab 4.
Tabloid indicated staffers were present

Rapaport reported that bottles of expensive liquor and champagne were sent to their table, which the players assumed were comped. I’ve heard stories from friends like this, the management smilingly sends over bottles you didn’t order, you say wow thanks how nice, and then they show up on your bill. So there was a dispute over the amount of the bill; it wasn’t the players just trying to duck out.

Speaking of which, I seem to recall a story about a lineman who was found, passed out, in the gutter, the day of the Superbowl game, in New Orleans, in '96. I want to say it was the GB vs NE game, but I'm not sure. Maybe someone remembers?

He was dead. Ray got him

Coughlin will get rid of them sooner rather than later.

Make no mistake, this is an embarrassment to Khan, who wants to look good to the London community.

I hadn’t considered that angle, I’m sure he is not happy

Don't want to distract from the grooming gangs and knife attacks

Saw Church, Harrison, and Hayden are active. Just saw Harrison in on a play. Jags really making a statement

wait a minute...this joint had circus acts? they were midget tossing? clowns running through the throng with rubber prickles? bearded ladies? (wait...that ain't no lady!).

Oooops...sawree. The joint I was talking about is "Twerps&Twats" and it was the entire Jete defense getting kicked in the nuts by THIS guy...
