2018 Baseball Playoffs: ALCS, Red Sox vs Astros

And my point that no one is holding a gun to your head, forcing you to read them, forcing you to comment in them A LOT and prohibiting you from using the ignite thread tool is actually unarguable while your argument does not stand up to the precedent of off topic threads on this board.
I'd like to get back to Bears talk....you know does Goldilocks play croquet, hibernation, and the whole Pope/bear ****ting in the woods conundrum.

With what -- a match? Blowtorch? Sorry, but I can't afford a new computer at this juncture.

Is there a way to block threads label "OT" in the settings or are you making the argument that Tune doesn't have to click on this thread? Well, you're incorrect considering there's a whole Red Sox playoff thread you could post this on.

If there was an epidemic of OT threads on this main page, I'd agree with stricter sorting practices. But there's clearly plenty of room on the front page. Nothing got bumped to page 2 that anyone was actually still talking about.

Simply because people are "still talking about it" does not in itself make a subject relevant to FOOTBALL and the PATRIOTS in the MAIN FORUM of PATSFANS.COM.

There shouldn't be multiple OT topics about the same off-topic team from the same off-topic sport from the same off-topic series. Just because the ignore thread option exists doesn't justify posting willy nilly about this ancient sport for fatties.

Superbly stated.

I will add to this: a sport whose Boston franchise is owned by someone who also owns the Boston Gl0be and shamelessly uses that media outlet to actively diss the Patriots/football in general for selfish purposes. Stick-and-ball pastoral sleepytime summer lawn recreation (a/k/a "baseball," also "stand around/adjust crotch and spit") is a tradition-strangled anachronism whose days are numbered and John Henry knows it. His thinly veiled anti-Patriots campaigning smacks of desperation while artificially fanning the flickering flame of one of MLB's remaining outposts.

What are you going to do about OTish or semi-OT threads? :D

This is literally the only Red Sox related thread on page 1 of this forum

OMG - one thread about a Boston team deep in the playoffs and the world is ending??? I recall we had Celtics and Bruins ones last year and no one *****ed this much. Someone just does not like baseball in general and the Red Sox in particular.

I seem to remember a thread about anthony bourdain not to long ago, who created that one I wonder...

For some reason one of our dear members is obsessed with what other people think.
I have already explained that there is a parallel to a so called scandal known as spy gate
which in fact did impact the Patriot football team...

There is nothing wrong with hating the Red Sox. However many pats fans are Red Sox fans. I’m not sure why anyone wants to censor their right to speak when someone who hates the Red Sox would have no need to even open the thread to begin with.
If I cried every time I saw a thread posted that didn’t interest me, I’d be worried about myself.

Well that was taken care of quickly....

Maybe Goody can learn (I think hes too stupid but whatever) something about the strategy of being quick, decisive, unbiased and not harming the game.

"Before the Postseason began, a number of Clubs called the Commissioner's Office about sign stealing and the inappropriate use of video equipment. The concerns expressed related to a number of Clubs, not any one specific Club. In response to these calls, the Commissioner's Office reinforced the existing rules with all playoff Clubs and undertook proactive measures, including instituting a new prohibition on the use of certain in-stadium cameras, increasing the presence of operations and security personnel from Major League Baseball at all Postseason games and instituting a program of monitoring Club video rooms. "With respect to both incidents regarding a Houston Astros employee, security identified an issue, addressed it and turned the matter over to the Department of Investigations. A thorough investigation concluded that an Astros employee was monitoring the field to ensure that the opposing Club was not violating any rules. All Clubs remaining in the playoffs have been notified to refrain from these types of efforts and to direct complaints about any in-stadium rules violations to MLB staff for investigation and resolution. We consider the matter closed."
