So was the reverse pass to Brady in the Super Bowl, doesn’t make the call any more idiotic.

Putting that more on Brady. Low and on his body, needed to elevate that throw and lead him slightly ... easy 1st down.

Another wasted opportunity. NE scoring FGs in the red area, JAX scoring TDs. Could end up being the difference, running out of time.

I'm pretty sure the play call wasn't "Tom, you make a quick toss to a wide open Patterson. Patterson, you fall down without contact, and lose yardage when the first down is right there for the taking".
