Khalil Mack traded to Chicago

2 first rounders and a player for Mack!

Kudos to Gruden for unloading him. Mack was going to be a UFA after this season anyway and will want more money than Donald.

Who are the bears sending to Oakland? Has to be a linebacker. They have enough linebackers.

They are already reporting the Bears will make him higher paid than Donald.

Please elaborate.

The Pats own the Bears Second rd pick next year from a draft day trade. Ergo Mack on the Bears is probably gong to mean a few more wins, hence a lower pick going to the Pats.

Plus of course, the Pats must now face Mack in week 7

That makes sense. BUT, spending lotsa money on an alpha defender has almost never proven to work. I suppose Reggie White was an exception, but many of the other examples (see Haynesworth, Watt) don’t amount to much.

Eh, we will prob trade back anyway with that bears pick.

Bears have decided to not participate in the draft for a while.

Mack is great but he's not worth ~15% of a team's cap space. I say it's a good move by Gruden (provided the return is massive).

Bears will probably not have a winning record for at last 5 years now.
All in on a questionable QB. Breaking the bank for a guy who never made his defense good.
No draft picks left.
By the time trubusky figures it out, or is replaced there will be a major lack of talent.

Worst gm in the nfl?
