Interesting. A 2016 2nd-rounder (#42 overall) who's played in 15 games (195 D-snaps) with a total of 11 tackles, 2 PDs and 1 FF in his two seasons. And the Ratbirds apparently have been trying to shed him for awhile.

I thought only BB eff'd up 2nd round picks like that.

He was playing outside his position though and he goes to the same coach who put him in that spot to begin with. He’s more of an outside LB. He has been impressive this preseason. We will see if the titans got a steal here. The rat birds are loaded at LB so maybe there wasn’t room for him.

So geno atkins just got a 4 year extension worth 65.3 million. Don’t know how much is guaranteed. I can see why Donald wants to get paid. Everyone’s making their money except this guy.

So far they’ve accepted quite a bit, including multiple failed drug tests and the inability to stay on the field... I suspect they’ll accept more of the same going forward.

Funny how we act like our team are a bunch of saints when the front office has signed numerous offenders ranging from weed/alcohol abusers to domestic violence abusers to manslaughter to serial killers........

If Gordon is clean and can still play he’s worth a look

Easy, friend. Was just playing with the word “accepting”...

Move along. There's nothing to see here

I lied, nighty night.

Browns doing Browns things.

What serial killers did they sign ? You are willing fully just playing loose with the chronology here. The moment AH got arrested they cut him immediately with no regard how it wrecked their salary cap.

Apart from Dillon almost 15 years ago they have a strict non-DV policy to the point that players like Mixon or Tyrek get thrown off the draft board.

Also whether players smoke weed or drink recreationally is their own decision. The issue with Gordon is not him using substances but abusing them to a degree that made him miss essentially 4 seasons. How many other players have shown similar problems in the same timeframe? Yeah none. Because most have enough control over themselves not to go overboard.

He is one strike away from being out of the league. That risk is not worth more than a 6th or 7th.

I'm just curious what CLE would accept for Flash Gordon.
As a fan (I doubt Belichick would agree), I’d be good with giving them a mid-rounder. Of course, this makes little sense for CLE, who has invested a lot of time with him and is finally going to get a crack at seeing him on the field.

I think you’d have to start with dangling a second rounder, and even then, they may not want to part with him. I think it’s difficult to imagine a deal that is attractive to both sides with Josh Gordon being involved. I think he’s proven to be quite the head case again, just this past summer.

I can't see Flash Gordon leaving. When right he's a top 3-5 wr in the league. They have been banking on him for years & it seems both are a good fit for each other.

How would he handle a trade to a different city/market?

I think he's a huge piece to that offense & w Mayfield waiting, Taylor needing all the help he can get. I don't see it w/out a high pick.

Ok it's 530 & 90+ in Boston. Today won't be fun.

Yes. This is exactly the issue with Gordon; there are so many red flags. He has missed 54 games over the last 4 years and everyone just assumes that he will be exactly the player he was in 2013. We have seen picture of him looking ripped but that means nothing. Who knows what kind of player you get.

Similarly he is one strike away from being kicked out of the league and already missed most of the Browns camp this year because he could not handle whatever really happened to him. Despite all the PR surrounding him he looks extremely volatile.

I don't see how you can afford to pay anything below a fifth round pick for someone in this situation. But why would the Browns move on for anything less than a Day 2 pick ? They already demonstrated that they will hang on to him because of his cheap contract and potential upside.

Personally I'd just avoid this headache.
