No need to **** on Crossen or declare his career over or anything. He obviously isn't ready and his confidence is shot, but the guy's 22. Send him to the practice squad and develop him, he's athletic enough that there's a chance he could become a useful NFL player.

Remember in the 2011 preseason when the D was super aggressive and we were all excited and their ends were tearing things up? And then they became conservative as always during the season? And then injuries...

It was exactly the same sentiment as tonight.

Maybe the end result will not be the same. All I am saying is let’s not start sucking each other‘s ****s just quite yet.

I said the exact same thing to my pats texting buddy. Though I might have misremembered it, I thought it was like 2013 against the Bucs.

I don't think Flores is going to turtle like Patricia did in '11. Don't forget it was Patricia's dry run as DC. He would become the official DC in '12.

The corners and safeties that year were also abysmal. Leigh Bodden couldn't overcome an injury, Ras-I-Dowling went down, Merriweather and Sanders were cut. We had McCourty, Sterling Moore, Philip Adams, Sergio Brown, Edelman, Slater, Arrington, and Lockett? at DB. Hard to play good defense with that core. (I'm going off memory here but will look up the names later)

Absolutely.

I’m just saying that they seem to like the guys being super aggressive during the preseason to see what they have. It will be interesting to see what happens in the regular season. If they are aggressive yet responsible, I would love that.

27-7 at half time. This is a blowout. The 'new look' more aggressive Flores led defense looks to be making an impact already. Crossen had a poor half with back to back penalties leading to an easy TD for the Eagles but other than that it's been ALL Patriots!
