EDIT: Sony Michel to miss some time after minor knee procedure

Can't even remember the last time the Pats drafted an effective lead back. Curtis Martin? Does Robert Edwards count?
Stevan Ridley in the 3rd round in 2011. Had a great year in 2012 rushing for 1,200+ yards and 12 TD’s. He had the makings of being a very good RB but I think the Bernard Pollard hit in the AFCCG ruined him. You could see his confidence shot in the 2013 season where he started fumbling like crazy. Then he tore his ACL in 2014 which K.O.’d his career.

Sony Michel not making an impact on this team will be a bigger blow than people seem to realize. He was expected to provide some juice to the running game to take this offense to another level. At this stage of Brady’s career, you can’t piss away 1st round draft picks like this (potentially). I’m hopeful for him but, this is a really bad start to his career.

Edit: I'm curious to know what @Nunchucks "dislikes" about what I said.

Interesting ...

BTW - the only two seasons that the Pats were out of the top six were the years when Scar was retired.

IMO Sony Michel was drafted to aid in the transition from Brady to QB yet to be named, by bolstering the ground game it would ease the stress on whoever replaces #12...

This is a Post Brady signing and part of an effort to reconfigure our offense...

You must've been on drugs, another planet & whole 'nother level when writing this sh it.

Sony is a gamble, win now pick bc he's a great fit.

You draft him for the 1st contract. NOT the 2nd.

Some of you fuc kin guys are batsh it crazy.

Opinions are like buttholes every body has one, I think Brady is here until the 202o season.. thus my comments on transition..

A guy who chooses to call himself BaconGrundleCandy calls other posters "batsh it crazy", now that's rich..

Sorry man but I don't think there is anything wrong w calling someone out for a dumb post.

I mean if you thought D Easley had good knees, confused him w Vernon Gholston or thought Sony was a drafted to help transition to another QB I don't know what to tell ya besides there all stupid things to say.

Doesn't make you a bad person.

I didn’t want to say it, glad you did.

Called yourself out yet?

In a perfect world the additions of both Michel and Wynn help give brady the run game late in his career that elway had with Davis.

Brady might be here longer than Sony. It's ludicrous to think Sony is a "transition" RB to the next guy.

I view all rbs we draft as one contract guys. Price just gets too rich if they perform well during their rookie deal in a position where players typically hit the wall hard.

The Majority of 1st round picks wont ever achieve the potential they were drafted for.....

For what? Go through my history & let me have it ....

Nah, I'll let it go.
Oth, I do happen to agree with you on this one-of course you draft him for the 1st contract.
But I don't agree with the namecalling.
It actually makes YOU look bad, not the other guy. And unecessary- we all know you were right.
And maybe you're fairly new here- it's 100% a slap in the face to Ian, who made a major " sticky" post many months ago asking all of us to refrain from name calling.
You might want to read it.
Lastly, a wr who finishes #4 in the NFL in receptions and # 7 in yac, is clearly a top 10 wr for that year. That is a slamdunk no-brainer.

Yeah, that was brain dead.

Still not sure what you’re talking about. The Oklahoma game was 1/1/18 and the championship game vs Alabama was literally one week later on 1/8/18. I don’t think he has ever missed a game at Georgia due to his knee. His major knee injury happened in high school (junior season ?, won the high school championship as a senior) In fact, Chubb had a major knee injury at Georgia.

ACL was 2011 sophomore year in high school. From this sithttps://sportsinjurypredictor.com/player/sony-michel/9981e

Dec 2, 2017 Non-NFL Knee Strain Grade 1 Michel injured his left knee in the SEC championship but was able to play in the National Semifinal a month later.

A bit over the top. I agree that he wasn't drafted for a transition purpose though.
