Eh, we’re irrelevant....and fans for that matter.
We can think and say what we want about it, and speculate forever, as we already have.

No, you saying “he was told too late”. He was told when the person who understands how to handle those things told him, whenever that may have been. The opinion of finding out his role (or lack there of) is too far fetched?

An opinion you have no basis for, no knowledge of, no experience with and no capability to make yet you choose to throw it out there as an attack in Belichick. And no one on this board would know exactly when he was told. It was an opinion for Christ sakes.

That is why it’s an issue.
People who have to make things up to fuel their criticism deep down know they are full
Of ****
New name but same old thread. A handful of posters valiantly defending the indefensible.
Sorry to interrupt all the straw grasping, but the “unprepared” argument is the most flimsy of all. 3 years as a starter playing nearly every down and a couple of missed practices with the flu left Butler “unprepared “ for the complexities of playing man coverage against Torrie Smith on passing downs. Keep grasping.
Wrong. It’s an issue because belichicks your golden boy.
We all should bend the knee and kiss the rings.

Butler in his own words said he wasn’t focused and dialed in preparing for the SBSorry to interrupt all the straw grasping, but the “unprepared” argument is the most flimsy of all. 3 years as a starter playing nearly every down and a couple of missed practices with the flu left Butler “unprepared “ for the complexities of playing man coverage against Torrie Smith on passing downs. Wrong.
It’s an issue because you are literally making something up to trash him.
And by the way why wouldn’t Belichick be YOUR golden boy?
He delivered you 5 rings. But you, instead of recognizing and appreciating that make jokes about it.
As far as the HC of a team you are the fan of you should kiss the rings. But you prefer to make jokes about the rings and make things up to use as criticism of Belichick.
Very telling.
Do you feel Malcolm deserves criticism? In that case you mine as well say everyone against the benching is trashing belichick. I’ve pretty much held firm that I consider him the GOAT but he’s not immune to criticism. I guess your of the opinion that his body of work makes him immune but I don’t. I feel he botched this situation and I’m not alone with this belief.

I don’t think he is immune to criticism at all. I roundly criticized the gameplan and railed on the 4 S dime all season long starting in week 1.I’ve pretty much held firm that I consider him the GOAT but he’s not immune to criticism. Answer him.Do you feel belichick deserves criticism?
You fundamentally don't understand what you're reading. It's one of the reasons you're sort of a running joke on this board. Then you better work on your reading skills.
We are discussing butler not playing in the SB.
And it’s pretty funny that you think you know what’s being discussed BY ME better than I do.
This just keeps getting better. The butt hurt brigade is on a roll.
I know. It's sad, but it's what happens when a cult-like mentality takes over. Any criticism of Belichick makes them absolutely deranged. Instead of admitting "Bill" made a mistake, it's butt hurt whining about criticizing their king.New name but same old thread. A handful of posters valiantly defending the indefensible.

Nope. Everyone isn’t blaming things they have no clue about in Belichick.
You literally blamed butlers crying meltdown on when he was informed, meaning it’s Belichicks fault.
You did that without knowing when he was told or having any standing to know whether he was told at the correct or incorrect time.
That is what trashing is. You take facts and make up a way to blame it on who’s er you choose to trash.
And I am against the benching. I hated it. I would have hated him only getting 6 snaps as cb3 too. I’ve said I hated the gameplan. I was the person all season long that said the 4 S dime was an abject failure and should be banished from the playbook.
But I’m not Butthurt. So I don’t need to create a conspiracy theory to try to blame someone.
I also recognize that if the greatest coach in the history of the game benched a season long starter in the SB he has a damn good reason and the fault is extremely likely to fall in the player. Then the player says he didn’t try as hard to prepare as he knows the standard is.
Only a raving idiot takes that situation and blames the coach.
I don’t think he is immune to criticism at all. I roundly criticized the gameplan and railed on the 4 S dime all season long starting in week 1.
What I have an issue with is people such as you and the rest of the Butthurt Brigade needing someone to throw their hissy fit at and making things up to supprt their SB derangement.
If Butler was prepared and B.B. say him that would be a bad decision. But there is nothing in bbs history that resembles such a decision, butler has admitted he wasn’t prepared (and that he knew he was expected to be by his teammates and coaches) and the coach made a coaching decision.
To conclude it wasnt justified, to say that preparation doesn’t matter, to act as if since dirty laundry wasn’t aired by a franchise that will not air it ever, or to make insane claims like he threw the game is just stupid.
Malcolm admitted it. You might have forgotten that point.First off, let me put it out that you of all people on this board shouldn’t be calling anyone else on this board raving idiots.
Second, you can keep saying he wasn’t focused, dialed in, whatever but he still got out there on special teams. No matter how hard anyone tries that can’t be explained away. And the way the defense had played to that point without him in there what harm would it have done to see what he had? It couldn’t have been worse, they weren’t stopping them anyway to that point.
