If I were the opposing OC and saw the Pats defense in Dime & especially Quarter personnel packages during passing situations, I would have a run audible available to try to catch them napping, especially early in the game. Might give them something more to think about later in the game. Sucks that pass-rush plans have to be constantly drawn-up in such a way that other aspects of the defense are left vulnerable in order to overcome the general lack of talent in the front 7, but maybe Rivers & Clayborn can help in that regard this season. It does help, however, to be playing with a lead so often.

That was Terrible protection by the left side of the OL, especially Thuney. He almost had Brady killed there.

Great look at how quickly Brady reads a defense, pulls the ball down mid-throw, and knows instantly where to find his open man. This is just one example of the type of cerebral play that makes him the GOAT.

It's so good that I'm catching up on posts from a few days ago while trying to catch up on the film study from a couple of weeks ago.

Nice pancake block by Thuney vs Watt (which is as good a sign as any that Watt was never right last season, even when he did play). Unfortunately, Watt fell on Solder's back, and that messed up his block.
