If this were Aaron Rodgers we’d have people here saying “this is why Brady is better, the little things like being committed to attending OTAs is what separates the great from the best of all time”
It has been for 18 years and now, one time, at age 41, he has decided a different regimen will be good for him.
He isn’t a different guy, he is skipping a voluntary workout.

Be honest Kontra, you are out on the field running gassers. Your tired, sweating, and sore. You wouldn't be looking around going why aren't the leaders of my offense here working too? Its that mindset of we all work, harder then anyone else, that they will never be able to get back and it's so different from what we normally hear about Brady. Hardest working guy on the field, stays late to work on the little ****, perfectionist who never takes a rep off. I have no inside source and this could be much ado about nothing but I know I am concerned at such a massive swing in behavior and what it could imply about the locker room. Brady/Gronk are still the GOATs and there is nobody I would want on my team before them but this behavior comes off as selfish, childish, and they should be there, simply for team building and chemistry as leaders of the offense.

No, I wouldn't. Not when I know that neither of them is missing something that they won't get in TC and MC.

You are kidding me, Tedy refused to slam Brady in public?? Color me shocked! Shocked!!! Come on Kon, you can do better than that can't you??

Considering Tedy hasn't held back on criticisms of the franchise since joining the "worldwide leader," I don't see why he wouldn't slam Brady if he thought Brady was in the wrong.

Tom is already GOAT so it doesn't matter. If people want to bash him for not being with the program that's fine but to use his absence as proof of slacking or a lack of commitment to bring great is misguided.

We aren't talking about Bledsoe blowing off OTAs in favor of fly-fishing in Montana.

For the record I support Brady not going to OTAs because I support him holding out. But I wish he would be honest about it.

The man that many of you worship in the local media...

This thread is going to be such great fun to bump during the season.

I said the same thing earlier before Chatham did - that this was likely a move to prevent wear and tear on his body. People, why don’t you listen to me?

They’re not going to listen to anything. Hell, they’re regurgitating talking points from the likes of Colin Cowherd.

At this point Tom probably need to take it easy on his 41 year-old body outweigh his need to get snaps. That wasn't the case when he was a rookie, or even after he was ten years in. Heck, he probably could have used a little bit of a break last year. Dude has gone deep in the playoffs nearly every season he has played. There are a lot of miles on that pliable body.

How different things would be if the refs ruled against an actual rule and a field goal kicker kicked a field goal BRADY drove the team within range. You rest your case on that?

It's Rhody saying Rhody things.

Tom has played in almost 3 regular season's worth of playoff games.

Of course it doesn't matter in the big picture in terms of his performance. At the same time we don't have to talk about Brady being the epitome of a team first player anymore because if anything he has proven that when push comes to shove he does care about other things more than "the team". Which is fine and his right.. but lets bury this myth.

1 year of OTAs missed out of what, 18? At 41 years old, while having alleged issues with the coach because the coach is being an ass about his personal trainer?

Yeah, you two are being Nathan Lane level drama queens.

Khalil Mack not at OTAs
Melvin Ingram not at OTAs
Michael Bennett not at OTAs
Darren Sproles (though coming off ACL surgery) not at OTAs
Carlos Dunlap not at OTAs

I seriously doubt that Brady will suffer Any wear & tear on his body during these OTAs.

But that concern has never been the point of the matter anyway.

So 41 is now the magical age where he needs to "change his regimen". Not 39, not 40. More brilliant analysis from ST scrub Chatham. There is no fart from the Patriots he hasn't sniffed and tried to convince you how good it smells.

Take a big old whiff, Matt.
