It's no surprise that Brady is probably a little disgruntled with the way Belichick (poorly) handled the Guerrero situation.

Brady has busted his ass for 17 years for this organization. And contrary to what luuked says, he has largely put the team and winning first as much as you could imagine a megastar would.

So perhaps he is growing tired of Belichick being a pain in the ass from Guerrero to bad decisions leading to a Super Bowl loss.

Maybe that is partly why he is skipping OTAs. But even so it's not going to impact his performance. He and Gronk will lead the team on another deep playoff run and possibly a Super Bowl.

Many of the people complaining about this will predictably be silent when he's back to shredding defenses.

You know. On one hand it's basically only been 5 months of this **** and I'm already fed up with this garbage game **** Brady's playing but on the other hand we've had 17 years of nothing but his heart and soul and an obnoxious amount of loyalty and drive from him. So all in all I'll be pissed and annoyed a little bit but tbh after everything else I can deal with it.

That does not mean I expect BB to deal with it and I hope he does to Brady what he would do to any other player on the team if he were to do the same thing.

Tom's absence after 17 years of dominance = unforgivable insubordination
Gronk's absence = understandable negotiating tactic

Seems legit.

Of course it doesn't matter in the big picture in terms of his performance. At the same time we don't have to talk about Brady being the epitome of a team first player anymore because if anything he has proven that when push comes to shove he does care about other things more than "the team". Which is fine and his right.. but lets bury this myth.

A politician once complained to Abraham Lincoln that General Ulysses S. Grant drank too much.
Lincoln replied with words to the effect, "Well whatever he drinks, send a case of it to my other generals."

In a similar vein, I hope Tom Brady continues to "care about" whatever it is that he might have been caring about all these years, because it's delivered eight trips to the SB and five Lombardi's to New England. Works for me.

"Honey, I'm not going to work, I'll be at the massage parlor all day"

Khalil Mack not at OTAs
Melvin Ingram not at OTAs
Michael Bennett not at OTAs
Darren Sproles (though coming off ACL surgery) not at OTAs
Carlos Dunlap not at OTAs
31 of 32 starting NFL QBs at OTAs

I'm gettin' real scared....

I'm on Tom's side even if this is over pseudo science.

He has given everything for this team and taken ridiculously team-friendly deals for almost 2 decades now. He sees his window closing and believes this system is the key to keeping people healthy and on the field because he thinks he's lived it.

He watches as Edelman and Mitchell are both lost for the season in the preseason (Yeah we didn't know about Mitchell at the time but that's how it panned out.

He watches as Hightower is lost for the season.

And he thinks "I bet if they were doing TB12 they would have made it all season long." Then he watches as his coach neuters the team's secondary by taking away our 2nd best corner due to what is almost certainly a personal conduct issue and Belichick plays a hardline with that ****.

Now you tell me, if you really put yourself in Brady's shoes, that you wouldn't be pissed that after all that sacrifice that the team would forbid other players from doing TB12?

I love Belichick, I forgive him for whatever happened with Malcolm. But I can totally get where Brady is coming from on this one.

I love you man....

No one is forbidden from doing TB12. They can (and some do) do it all they want on their own time, in TB12 space.

They (except for His Tomness) just can’t have it be done in team space.

So you think the qb should be in charge of the strength and conditioning program?
Should he hire and fire the offensive coaches?
Call the plays?
What about the marketing department? Brady is the most marketable player on the team shouldn’t he be in charge of marketing ?
Should he make the draft picks? Trades?

Yeah all those things, that's what I believe.

meh...it's the business side of this business. Gives the press hacks plenty to obsess over as they scramble to improve their "cred". I imagine stool gobblers like Felcher are having a field day this week. It's all white noise.

You really couldn't play Malcolm in the second half bill?
