One. I won't get started on last year, but I think they have one more in them - this season. Winning Super Bowls is exceptionally difficult.

I think they are both the best, but unless they get on the same page i don't see them winning it all.

I'm telling you, all the pent up emotions are spilling out this year.
  1. BB has enough and benches Brady
  2. Kraft steps in and suspends BB for a game
  3. BB quits
  4. Brady gets the top spot back
  5. Kraft hires Charlie Weis as temporary HC which causes
  6. Josh McDaniel to quit
  7. They scrap together an 11-5 season and get the 4th seed
  8. Win the Wild Card game
  9. Lose the next game away
Ok, never happens, I'm hoping they pull out one more game. Depends on how the defense gels and if they can help Brady.

Can you please create aother "0" category so I can more accurately cast my vote? "Etling beats out Brady and takes the Pats to new heights in 2018 and beyond".

Thanks in advance.

4) None
Talent level in NFC is superior
No pass rush for NE
Pats' Bend n' Break defense gets exposed by creative OCs
The "Patriots Way" has lost its mojo

Given enough time together anything is possible. If they both last until TB12 is 45 then 2 is possible if not likely but I think it's realistic to think that one of them retires when they get the next one. Most importantly though this thing is not done yet.

I believe they have 1-2 more ships left in them. But they really can't squander any more golden opportunities. BB needs to right his ship. Pay Brady and Gronk. Make them relatively happy, then bolster the roster with his usual 'process'. The team we see today is not the team we will field when the season starts. Expect at least another handful of acquisitions that will help improve the overall quality of the roster.

Brady is still the great equalizer. The rest of the roster has areas of strengths, and some question marks -- just like every other team. The delta of talent isn't so extreme that the Patriots can't compete for a championship again this year.

Last year the Patriots tied for 7th in sacks in the regular season, and led the entire field in the post season. Many of those were manufactured; we don't have a transcendent player who can consistently create pressure on his own. Moderate area for concern, but to say that there's "no" pass rush is disingenuous. To aid the pass rush, the Patriots did add Clayborn (solid, middle of the road veteran), and they get back Rivers from injury. We should see growth out of Wise and possibly Lee. Possible area for a vet trade.

The defense has seen significant turnover since the SB. Personnel is different. Not many schemes did much of note against either team in regular or post season -- pinning the failures entirely on the bend but don't break (and don't think I didn't see your snide redaction) seems shortsighted. Depth has been improved, particularly against the run.

The "Patriots Way" was always overrated in terms of mystical advantage. What it boils down to is everyone doing his job on the field, and I doubt that's going to change despite the offseason entertainment quotient.

I still say we win one more, either this year or the next.

One if they win it in the next 2 years; zero if they don't. I am curious to see how this upcoming year goes. Seems like battle fatigue has set in to this relationship from the Super Bowl on.

I’m hopeful for one more.

Will we get it? I don’t know, but we do have a good chance at it this year. One year at a time from here on out.

I don’t understand the comments as if there is some rift that is affecting the team. If there is it was there last year and last year they were a play away from winning the Sb.
I don’t think sitting by the campfire singing kumbaya is a requirement for this team to win.

That said, my guess is Brady plays 3 more years and gets to 2 SBs. Wins 1 and the other comes down to the wire maybe a win maybe not.

If everyone gets on the same page (it's clear they are not right now) then they have a good shot at one more. And it feels like this season may be that shot.

Even though I think sunset has arrived for traditional competitive rivals like Pitt, Denver and the Seahawks, the NFC is still very good, the AFC South looks like it might be turning into a powerhouse division and we might even see the Browns finally emerge with the talent that they have. The AFC East has at least 2 teams well coached in Buf and Mia. I think the Pats window in this era might be closing now, and if they're going to win it all at least one more time, it needs to be soon. Brady is 41.

Win the division and hopefully get a bye and anything can happen. We have a really good team.

The homer in me says 2 more, which is what Brady told Giselle. 7 out of 10 would be sweeeet.....

I don’t want any more super bowl losses. People will day Brady is Lebron and not Jordan.
