I saw Lauletta play. I wasn't overly impressed. I like Falk and think he's underrated. Then again I don't trust my QB knowledge.

Lauletta is good aside from his arm strength. I like Falk but he’s a project as a starter but, I think, an excellent candidate for a long-term backup which is no small thing.

Your reading comprehension sucks worse than Gesicki's blocking. I never said, or even implied, that "we’ll never play/draft a TE because they’re not as good as Gronk."

You're LOL-ing at me for something I didn't say or even imply. That's "strike one" for you.

Let me spell it out for you another way - there isn't a TE in this draft that comes within a continent of even being an adequate #2 to Gronk in the Pats schemes - not even close to being as good as Bennett. And I've yet to see a prospect in this particular draft class who's so significantly better than the TEs currently on the roster that it would be worth spending a top-100 pick to acquire him.

But, you would spend high draft capital on a TE right-effing-now who doesn't actually fit the Pats' requirements simply because the Pats will "need" a Gronk replacement eventually? What's the point? Gronk is still here and there will be other TE draft classes in the future.

Evans didn’t run the 40. Van Der Esche played on an inferior conference and has neck issues.

If BB wants a north-south LB as opposed to an east-west LB like Smith, Evans is your guy.

If BB wants a north-south LB as opposed to an east-west LB like Smith, Evans is your guy.

Where did you see the neck issues? Even if so the guy's projected to be drafted in the top 20. Guy has a 39 inch vertical leap with a weight of 256. We will see who turns out to be a better LB.

I don’t know. I did find this though from Tony Pauline. It is a little concerning - Alabama players do have some issues at times moving to the NFL based around injuries or being underwhelming in terms of athleticism. The film is good though and I think Evans is a seamless fit for us.

Rashaan Evans, who did not run the forty at the combine or Alabama’s first pro day did not run yesterday which left a very bad taste in the mouths of teams who purposely made the trip to watch his workout.

Several teams questioned Evans speed going into the pre-draft process and the fact he’s not yet run the forty coupled with a vertical jump of just 30 inches and 9-feet-8-inches in the broad jump will raise further red flags about his athleticism.

Factor in terrific workouts by many of the linebackers at the combine (Lorenzo Carter, Leighton Vander Esch) and it adds up to bad news for Evans
