Patriots now have 2 first round picks, what to do?

I could see them trading a few picks into next year when more roster slots might be open
As things stand now, the Patriots already have 4 compensatory picks next
year including two #3s.

Don't you guys get it..we are clearly going after a QB. BB values the position very highly and wants to groom a young stud behind our 41 year old QB who could turn in his retirement papers any year now

Can you trade those picks meaning the two 3s next year?
No. The league will not announce the picks officially until next year. However,
when the Jamie Collins deal was made it was for a 3rd round compensatory pick not yet received by the Browns. If the pick fell thru, the Patriots would have received a 4th round regular pick.

Every year there are few real studs in the draft. Who would be a stud for us might vary because of need. However, getting one of the real studs should be worth more than the combined expected value from the 23rd and 31st pick. To be clear, how much would we trade for someone who projects to be the next McGinist, the next Seymour, or even the next McCourty?
Not 2 firsts.

This also has a lot of merit

I can only see us trading up for an OT, D-lineman or QB. Probably a long shot us moving up too far, but will Bill, I guess you never know.

Not 2 firsts.
I agree, except for Chubb, and 2 first wouldn't be enough to move up to 2 or 4. However, there have been a couple of mocks where he moves down more (with 3 QB's and Barkley being the top 4). Chubb would be available at 6 if all 4 QB's and Barkley were the top 5.

Still wouldn’t do it. 2 > 1

I used to get really excited about the draft, but I've learned to temper that enthusiasm with BB.

I’m waiting for B.B. to pick whoever the Rutgers QB is at 23.

I say you take the best Roquan available.

Minkah Fitzpatrick...if they're trading up, this guy would be my pick. Prefer keeping the current picks and taking best players available though.

I keep thinking of the Chandler Jones, Dont'a Hightower first round !!

If you traded Jimmy because you thought Brady has a few more years in him, there is no need to expend good draft capital on a back-up QB. Espeically when you already have a very capable NFL back-up QB on the roster.

Draft a couple of guys, that might help keep a back up QB from putting up 41 points on your defense!

If NE trades up for Baker Mayfield, you guys are going to have to talk me off the ledge of a bridge on draft night.

Trade atleast one if not both.

If you can secure a future first and a 3rd it's over. Need to start stock piling picks stolen from us.

I want us to stay pat and take BPA with our first four picks. I think quantity over quality is the way to go as there is not a dramatic difference between the #23rd best player and the #63rd best player. The draft is still a crapshoot...I'd rather roll the dice 4X. I am OK with trading some of our 3/6/7's to move around a little and am OK with trading one of our 2nds for a first in 2019.
