What the hell does 15 YPG more have to do with being a better receiver??? Use the eye test. Im sure you’ve seen them both play....I’m not knocking Cooks AT ALL. He’s a hell of a receiver. I’m simply saying that there is nothing he does better than OBJ. Just comparing each respective WR’s talent. It ain’t close.

Wes Welker averaged 56.7 YPG.
Donte Stallworth averaged 42.1 YPG
Brandon Lloyd averaged 42.2 YPG

Is there anyone who's really fool enough to say that Welker wasn't significantly better than Stallworth and Lloyd?

and I want a date with Halle Barry

Cooks is a #2...speedster who doesn’t take over games because of his size. Also rarely wins 50/50 balls which irritates me. Nice complimentary piece but I would’t be upset if Bill moved him before the season. Why? Dude will want #1 money..nope.
And Beckham is a full-blown nutbag who won't even practice until he gets a ridiculously expensive, guaranteed long term deal...nope. I'll take Cooks, thank you.

To be fair, if anybody on this forum had control of the Pats, we’d be 0-16 every year.

No player would ever be paid more than the veteran minimum and anyone who so much as smiled would immediately be cut for not respecting the game.

omg not the eye test nonsense again.

I said i don't think hes significantly better then cooks.

My criteria for that is that OBJ only gets 15 MORE yards per game then cooks.

What does 15 yards per game matter you say? Well sir, A football fan would say that it matters because you win games BY MOVING THE FOOTBALL OBJ moves it a grand total of 15 MORE yards per game then cooks, FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE CAPABLE OF MATH thats less then a SINGLE catch for cooks.

per game.

in conclusion 15 yards per game is not significantly better. You're eye test is flawed, you are taking it through rose colored glasses.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. OBJ is way better than Cooks. I’m done here

Skill wise I think he’s worth it. But there’s so many other factors.

How is our 2019 in the mid to low 20s?

30s means another Superbowl appearance. Predicting that, after the developments this off season, would be nothing short of incredible arrogance. Not really my point thought anyway. Mid twenties or 32, would you do it? Is there really that big of a difference?

Why? Patriots are still clearly the best team in the afc.

Besides low to mid 20s but them from not in the playoffs to one and done. After 7 straight afccg id assume 29 or lower, not 20.

Can we please stop referring to Odell Beckham Jr as ODB? Or shall we start calling brady TOB12?

They lost by far their best RB. White took a step backwards last year and Burkhead is a JAG as is Hill. They lost their starting LT, number one (or two, depending on who you ask) CB and replaced him with a JAG. Bennet is gone and Gronk may be next. They lost Amendola. One of Brady's most dependable WRS. Mitchell cannot stay on the field. Neither can Hightower. And this was clearly one of the worst defenses in football last year. The signings so far haven't done all that much to improve that situation. They have hemorrhaged so much talent, I'm sure I'm forgetting some guys.

Either way, that wasn't my point and I'm not going to argue about it. We will have to agree to disagree. This year's first round pick and 32 next year. Do you make that trade?

If you go watch the highlights of Beckham and the ones of cooks vs the elite corners in the league. Cooks is not far off Beckham. He dominated the no fly zone. Aj bouye couldn’t do much against cooks but commit penalties on every snap. Now I’ll admit Beckham has a edge in athletics but mentally cooks has the edge. I looked at two hours worth of highlights, which is probably not the best indicator over all. In Beckham’s highlights, he melts Down like five times a game and its easy to get him mad. Look at what grimes does to him lol. So, I could get away with saying if Beckham had been playing against bouye he’d have given up fifty yards in penalties. The fifteen yards he provides is nullified

Well your first paragraph is laughable.

As to your question if you are taking about Beckham I would not offer anything.

well, that's a bit harsh IMO. I'd offer a 5th round pick. After all they gave the Raiders a 4th for Moss. Crackham is a step below...I think a 5th would be fair.

Odell has some skills, some teams can really use him, but for the pats it’s not the right fit. H won’t be able to do what BB might ask him to do. Plus his temperament has been an issue in the last few years. Excellent athlete but total headcase.

I agree about the attitude. All I’m saying is that OBJ is much than Cooks. 50/50 balls, runs entire route tree, can take over games whether double/triple covered, large hands, faster with ball in hands, can beat press man coverage etc. Not debatable. I’m not saying we should trade for him, just stating facts.

Yeah, I don't understand the people in this thread who are dismissing Beckham as a player. He's a transcendent talent, and he's worth paying for. Cooks is an excellent receiver and Beckham is just far better.

The Rams will probably get him for a 1st, having recognized that most other teams in the NFL seem to be thoroughly incapable of coaching millennials.

We already have a receiver who cannot dance.
