Who knows but it continues to lend more and more credence to both the Wickersham and Curran reports that there has been and continues to be serious discontent behind the scenes at Foxboro.

If he were to retire tomorrow we are up **** creek

If he retires tomorrow, while the JG trade would look bad, I would be happy that the team I root for was fortunate enough to have this guy giving his all every year, every snap and almost always delivering. No one has been more of a teammate and pro than this player.

While sad about the SB loss (none of which was this guy’s fault), I still hope Brady plays a few years. If he walks, he deserves the rest. He has given more than anyone would have ever expected / wanted.

So for those of you who watched the finale of T vs. T, what was your take what Gisele said at the end?

“These last two years have been very challenging for him in so many ways...And he tells me, ‘I love it so much and I just want to go to work and feel appreciated and have fun.’ ”

Did you get the sense that she meant that he does "feel appreciated and has fun" or that she meant "he wants to feel appreciated and have fun, but doesn't"?
I took it exactly as it was said. Who doesn’t want to go to work and feel appreciated? No one said he doesn’t feel appreciated. As far as the last 2 years being difficult, why wouldn’t it be? 2 loooong, painful, grueling seasons. No way he hangs it up this year though. Next yr? Maybe, I wouldn’t be surprised.

Brady went whining to Robert and Robert then made it clear to Belichick that Brady would retire a Patriot thus forcing Bill's hand with Garoppolo. Brady owes the organization at least 2 years.

I wouldn't accuse Brady of "whining" to anyone but I definitely feel he went to Kraft and basically went "dude, you know I want to be here until I'm 45. So what's the deal with Jimmy still being here?" Which make no mistake is exactly what I wanted him to do, I'm on Brady's side. But if he were to now get cold feet and want to leave, yeesh that would be bad.

Interesting. Where were you when this meeting was taking place, that you were able to hear everything that was said?

I don't think for a second that Brady is considering retiring. But if he let the Patriots escort JG out the building only to retire at the end of that season (without extenuating circumstances like a brutal concussion) . . . yeah that would be an awful thing to do.

Outline the scenario whereby the Patriots extend Garropolo during 2017 without putting themselves in cap hell.

when giselle mentioned "these last two years have been very challenging for him in so many ways", i think she was referring to the deflategate accusations, his suspension, and of course his mother's bout with cancer.

so my interpretation of "feel appreciated" was that it was a reference to deflategate, whereas "have fun" was a reference to him using football as a way to distract himself from his mother's illness.

but maybe that's just my optimistic and naive outlook on things.
.

I think this all mean we should prioritize finding the next Jimmy.

I think it's pretty pathetic that a person who needs no self-promotion self-promotes

and the more he is a GOAT, the more pathetic the self-promotion is

He's a celebrity doing celebrity things...i don't see the problem.

I don’t have a problem with him doing it.....but it pathetic for GOAT to be marketing his goatiness
