Our defense was horrible, but we still could of won

I am in total agreement with all of the posts so far. Can someone please explain the illegal TD to me? I understand that was the pass that Foles caught. How was it illegal but no one noticed?

The coaching on the defensive side of the ball was the reason this team lost. There is zero way you can pin this on the offense. Brady threw for over 500 yards FFS. The decision to bench Butler and the mere fact that Belichick, as great of a defensive mind as he's been, cannot seem to defense the RPO or mobile quarterback. The game plans against them have been brutal to watch over the years. But he certainly didn't make it any easier on himself from a personnel standpoint last night.

Chatham (and only Chatham) thinks it was an illegal formation since jeffrey was not lined up on the line of scrimmage. You need 7 people on the line every down.

NFL came out and said it's often a judgement call by refs that a WR is "close enough" to the line to qualify. Seems like the kind of thing that should be a fairly objective call but apparently it's more art than science.

I'm not gonna be a Seattle/Steelers/Ravens fan and whine about the refs though. We all know why NE lost.

That 7 minute drive by the iggles was embarrassing display of defense. I wanna see all the draft picks be wasted on the defensive side of the ball!

Defense sucks, couldn't stop a nose bleed. Had they done literally anything............just one key stop......We win. But even that was asking too much. Nick foles was too much ladies and gentlemen.

The TRUTH is this Patriots team didn't deserve to win. That defense was an abomination. Worst I've ever seen from a BB coached team. It was embarrassing.
Despite Brady's heroics, they just didn't deserve it.

Maybe Bill & the defense & its coaches didn't deserve to win, But Brady & the offense - and we - did deserve to win.
