Brady Hand Injury

Getting real ? Or “still nothing to see here” ?

I don't have enough information on that. How much did he practice yesterday? Was keeping him out today just precautionary? Etc....

We're screwed!!!! Noooooooo. Damn madden curse. I told you guys!!!!! Ughhh

If I could keep declaring your post a winner I would. That's THE definitive statement on this whole situation. All I care about is one thing...beating Jacksonville on Sunday!
Exactly.

The only way to know how badly injured the hand is to see him throw a football in a game situation and to later find out if he needed off-season surgery, etc.

Aside from his hand injury everything else that has, and will be reported between now and then is speculation

He is going to play. Rest is all speculation until the game starts. No point fretting over it.

The line has moved 1.5 points in the past 20 minutes.

was NE -9, now NE -7.5

I *ucking knew this was worse than people thought
Seems like a lot of people here have been fearing the worst. I wonder whether they are just keeping him out as a precaution. If it's an injury that will be exacerbated by throwing too soon it would make sense to give him as much time as possible before the game. If that is the case, it still isn't great that he hasn't practiced much for the game and is physically impacted.

If he can't go, he can't go. Teams have to deal with this ****, we've been lucky with Tom thus far. We can win this game with Hoyer if he doesnt then the ball over the rest of the team performs well. Hopefully that won't be necessary.

It would be interesting if Hoyer played and won. I guarantee there would be a thread suggesting to start Hoyer in the Super Bowl.

Probably true, but people were saying late yesterday that he missed practice yesterday and was expected to miss it today. No one on BB teams misses a Thursday practice if they expect to play on Sunday (and/or they are really hurt) - isn't Thursday the day the game plan is implemented? I am comforted, perhaps falsely, that he was out there, with some funky gloves on. That means to me that he is getting ready to play and is either protecting the hand to the best of his ability, or he's learning to play this weekend with some funky gloves on, or both. Either way, that news to me is way better than, "Tom Brady, as expected, was not sighted on the field for practice today."
re: Thursday I think you are right. We don't know if he threw or not but even if he did I don't think that tells us much about how he'll throw the ball on Sunday in a game situation.

Successful surgery

Jerry Thornton is neither funny nor a journalist.

I am under the impression that brady will play on sunday. I will stick with that until further notice.

Is this the highest posts-per-day thread ever excepting game threads? It would be handy to have a search interface that let one answer such question.

People do realize it was reported yesterday that brady would likely miss practice to receive treatment on the hand. This was actually expected.

This isnt nothing, but its a jammed hand. Lets not make it seem like he wont be able to play.

He jammed his hand against the dolphins in 2013 and had a poor game when his hand was swollen. Then went out and dropped 400yards on the steelers the following week

Can Alex Guerrero witchcraft magically heal Brady? Will Tom Vs Time lose out to a freak injury?

Ok, I'm not going to fret over this. Worst case scenario, Brady can't play. I'd actually rather have a healthy Hoyer in there than Brady with a bad right hand that can't throw the ball. I have no control over this situation so I'm not going to worry about it...it is what it is. I've seen this team for enough years now that BB and the coaches will put the team in the best situation to win. I truly believe Brian Hoyer can play all 4 quarters and win the game against Jacksonville. The QB is a very critical position but it's not the ONLY position on the football field. We still have Gronk, Lewis, White, Hogan, Burkhead, 'Dola, Cooks and an underrated O-Line. Simplify the game for Hoyer a bit and use the dink and dunk passing attack...it's probably what we'd use anyway. Let's all breathe. We're not playing Pittsburgh...we don't have to outgun them. We need to run an efficient offense that moves the ball, and we need to play good defense and special teams. Go Pats!

There might not be a following week.

I've had a bad premonition about this season since the off season.

Where are posters seeing brady wont play?

Theres no telling how effective or not he will be until sunday. 3 days away...3 more days of treatment, healing and for swelling to go down
