JOSH WILL COACH INDY

Hand a guy a 2-14 team and a rookie QB and the only thing acceptable is to win in New England in the divisional round to get to an afccg?
They will be firing coaches every 2 years if that’s the thinking.

Based on what I was reading about them, it just seems to me (right or wrong) that them making the Divisional round was not expected. The expectation was that they had already decided to move on from him and they so happened to make the divisional game. I also believe that is why it was presented as a parting of ways. There probably would have been some kind of hoopla in the media about them outright firing the guy after making it that far . . . even though I think that's exactly what happened. lol

Sorry, Josh. I will have to root for your abject failure.

The only time I will ever root for the Dolts is when it directly benefits the Pats. Otherwise, may they lose 99-0.

Greg Doyel is pi$$ed

What a total moron of a writer. He is STILL swallowing the NFL's deflategate story, and thinks spygate is the worst thing ever to happen to the league.

If significant numbers of people in Indy feel the same way (and I think that they do), then they do not deserve a coach like Josh McDaniels.

Sigh. Alas, I think I'm leaning this way.

lol

Oh I know people are speculating it I just don’t buy it.
I mean I don’t doubt they like his football mind and his pedigree and he is a future hc in the making it’s just too soon. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the interest is there to try and pull him away as DC.

For this sake, I hope he doesn't take that job. Indy's DC is probably one of the worst jobs in the NFL. That team allocates so much of their resources to offense that the DC is usually working with castoffs, mid-to-late-round draft picks and UDFAs.

Ohhh, that's the broken NFL rules he was alluding to apparently? I thought it was something he had "violated" while with the Donkeys.

Why would Mularkey agree to calling it mutual if it wasn’t? That makes no srnsec

I think he will be a good coach, the Denver thing was probably done on purpose. B.B. sent them a Trojan horse lol

As the Lions did earlier, the Colts have made calls the last couple days to candidates to tell them they've been eliminated, ahead of the expected hire of Josh McDaniels. We have more on McDaniels in my coaching roundup.

Talking about Arizona though.

I can’t possibly see why you would go elsewhere when you now have the opportunity to be dc for the GOAT HC and defensuve genius.
He would be crazy to leave to dc elsewhere

However, the Indy you are talking about was the polian and grigson Indy. Ballard will change that.

There was a video taping incident in Denver, too. You'll have to google it. I can't come up with the energy for that.

Love you for your work here Josh.

However I must wish you a train wreck in Indy.

It's not personal .... it's just business.

Josh might also want to consider that a considerable portion of the Indy media and fanbase are already irrevocably poisoned against him. He's not going to get much of a honeymoon.

Someone in Denver videotaped part of a practice.

Doyle thinks it came from Josh, which in turn came from all the supposedly illegal things he learned with the Patriots.

So, indeed it all goes back to Patriots Derangement Syndrome, an intensely paranoid state that seems to be common in Indiana.

Yeah, another board member already told me about it. That's just stupid.

guess Josh was impressed with all those banners.... God help him, that owner has to be the worst....

Yep. Scar's son did the taping.
Was there disciplinary action taken? I'm shocked that I don't recall anything about this at all. Was it during his first or shortened season?

EDIT: I found the information. I have no clue how I seemingly missed that story . . . or maybe I just forgot it altogether. Either way, scary. I'll take more fish oil from now on. lol
