Gronk's relationship with the team looks fine, I've seen no evidence there ever was a problem.Sounds to me like that's saying he was the mouthpiece publishing leaks or statements by the Gronk family. I recall when Gronk was having injury issues (think it was the broken forearm infection) his family was pushing their message to the press directly, independent of the team. Sounds like this is saying he was their sock puppet for those statements.
Two time super bowl MVP and second overall pick in a QB heavy draft but okay homer. Peyton sucked too, right?
Giant fans were not upset Eli was benched, they were upset it was for Geno Smith. You haven't seen Eli trying to play QB in the last few years, I take it.
Belichick has no reason to go to the Giants with that awful roster. Of all the teams out there, the Lions job with Stafford -- a decent quarterback -- would allow him to have a chance to build a roster with a chance to win a championship. The Giants, on the other hand, chased out Coughlin who Belichick respects and beat him twice in the Super Bowl. Why you would trade being with the Patriots to go to the Giants who are on their way to being the Cleveland Browns of the East Coast is beyond me.Why would Belichick “see an opening” to go to the Giants right now? That coach with the slicked back hair was in his way?
Lol. So some national ESPN prick who seems to specialize in writing mysterious "controversy" articles about teams seemingly out-of-nowhere puts up a piece saying the core of the team's divorce is imminent, but ESPN's own beat reporter for that same team who may be more plugged into the team than any other reporter except maybe a couple others says he "has not been told or seen any indication" that that would happen.
So who do you believe? The national guy with no apparent direct connections to the team with "anonymous staffer" sources who annually writes "HOT TAKE" controversy stories, or the guy whose sole job is literally to just cover that one team?
Cannot wait til these idiots get proven wrong, again.Just
They lost me at "the explosive espn article" part.
How anyone can deem that explosive is just another sheep to me.

I was a fan since Parcells/Bledsoe came aboard so I didn't experience the truly crappy era you guys did.
one of bill's flunkies was the source for that article. probably lombardi. that garbage makes tb12 look bad. and now that joint statement wtf??
This goes against everything Lombardi has been saying on the record for years. So, no, it was not Lombardi or anyone that really has access. Otherwise there would be actually something substantial in there that is true and not 80% lies and 20% innuendo.
Lombardi flatly denied it was him, offered to take a polygraph test, and mentioned the possibility of a lawsuit.
Maybe this is strong enough for the crowd that thinks that the We are United statement from Kraft/BB/Brady was too weak.
Portnoy called the radio station (WEEI) asking for Lombardi. When they told him that he'd already finished his time there and had gone, Portnoy just hung up, instead of staying on the line.
Good stuff
