Trying my hardest to think of someone with more drive and only one pops to mind and that's Cristiano Ronaldo (maybe Federer). Brady just might be the most driven athlete ever, like in any sport, anywhere.

Imagine being a 40 year old athlete after already accomplishing becoming the greatest in your field and achieving every team goal and more, yet STILL getting up every morning trying to actually get better as opposed to what most greats did (Kobe, Jordan, Manning etc.) who just let their body dictate when it was all said and done. For the MVP level at which he is still playing at, the superlatives are running thin to continue describing him.

You can't beat father time but Brady is taking that man to double overtime for sure.

Bill Russell?

Roy Keane. Not sure more. Certainly as much

Brady has to be number 1 in my opinion.

What about Michael Jordan?

Maybe Jordan if he didn't get neck deep into gambling.

Bill Russell?
You got it right.

There are others who've been driven, but who in their determination drove themselves out of service through injury or misfortune.

I think of Bobby Orr. Indy driver Bill Vukovich. Carl Yastrzemski. Jerry West. Martina Navratilova. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Larry Bird.

There's been lots and lots more, and some have been more successful than others.

But Tom Brady is special, and different. He's done things the right way, and he's one of the greatest role models in history, athletics or not.

Sure, like all of us he's not perfect, he's human. But he's definitely one of the good guys. And not just because he's a Patriot.

Should be a lot of patriots fireworks this playoff season. I can't wait

Wayne Gretzky maybe? I don’t know about more driven but maybe as driven. Jordan, bird, magic Johnson, maybe a few others like Johnny Unitas

Few if any have competed and performed at such a high level than Tom Brady

Usain Bolt comes to mind, Tiger Woods, Christian Ronaldo, Lance Amstrong was also driven if you ignore the drug thing but I add him here because I believe his peers were all doping but his drive was like none other. I once watch him train intensely for 6 hours non stop at a Texas facility. I was so impressed back then when I thought he was the Goat.
