Long snappers are used on field goals. Do they use K-Balls on field goals or only on kickoffs?
How do they hav non-game balls on the sidelines?

Yep. Brady gets a 4 game suspension, a $5 million dollar Wells Report & two year long witch hunt to follow for being "generally aware" of the Raiders playing on Monday night. That's the only way to solve this very minor infraction that shouldn't be an infraction at all.
Don't give them any ideas.

They use K-Balls on field goals. The K-Balls are controlled by the KBC (K-Ball Coordinator). Yes there's a KBC in every game. He has the K-Balls.

The silence and hypocrisy is astounding, but not surprising. In today's society, people no longer have to accept reality. They can substitute their own and enlist legions of knuckle dragging heathens to spread their lies and innuendo.

The greatest of men are constantly being attacked, whether it be sport, business, politics, medical etc. The Patriots have been dragged through the mud for years over a series of countless accusations, BS convictions, suspensions, fines. Other teams blatantly break rules on camera and the league does less than nothing.

I guess this is the Patriots' cross to bear, a golden standard no franchise could achieve while watching other teams stick their thumbs up Goody's tush and their fans constantly talking unbelievable stupid conspiracy bs propaganda.

The only real option from our point of view is to tune it all out, enjoy the greatness of this Team, and laugh at the ridiculous nature of the cretin sports fans inhabiting this country/planet.

Otherwise it will drive you insane.

It really has come down to saying FU to anybody who looks the other way when it's not the Pats.

And FU to the "Cheating" crowd.

I'm tired of it.

One of my (Giant) brothers, on Xmas day, telling me "they" have video of TB deflating balls! Really!

I started the oh so tiring "did you read the Wells report, .. The Ravens called the Colts.." Blah, blah, blah.

After a few minutes of angry exchange, I finally just said forget it.
Believe what you want, and I REALLY don't care.

Your team just sucks.
Enjoy watching MY team in the playoffs HA HA

**** the NFL. I am so sick of this ********. It’s not fair that it’s always the Patriots catching bull from all these morons (the media, the idiot opposition and their fans). Awful piece of **** league. The Jets had their own spygate scandal ******** one year before the controversial NE one in 2006. What happened? Nothing. No outrage, and Jets aren’t called cheaters.

The Vikings and Panthers illegally heated footballs in 2015. What happened? Nothing

Aaron Rodgers admits to Over inflating the football which is illegal. What happened? NOTHING.

Steelers last year deflated balls against the Giants last year. What happened? NOTHING.

And now this week Raiders heating footballs. What ****ing happened? NOTHING. This is UNREAL. Just wtf? This is why I don’t even watch the piece of **** NFL anymore besides Patriots games. The way these assholes tarnished Brady’s legacy is a disgrace.

Nobody cares unless NE does it.
They don't win every year. PERIOD! That's it!

Take the wins, and jealously.
Or lose and nobody cares.

I'll take the wins

I may be in the minority here, but that is illegal? Looks like he was hardly doing anything?
It's against the rules.

Right under (may have, possibly, kinda, coulda',) deflated footballs.

The only difference is this IS ON FILM, ON NATIONAL TV!!

Just like the Vikings game that same season.

Embrace the hate, cuz it aint changin' til the Pats start losing.

I like how the "Author" presumes it's not a rule violation. And accuse Pats fans as paranoid and bitter.

"IT IS AGAINST THE RULES". Period.
There is no lee way.

****.

Keep winning, keep winning, keep winning...
That is what hurts them.

The guy warming the ball is the long snapper. He's doing it for practice on the sideline. The actual K-Ball that he will have to handle in the game is under custody of the officials. Stop the outrage. There's nothing to see here.

Are you sure this is totally correct?

Once the game balls are approved by the Referee, the K-Ball Coordinator (KBC) will take custody of and remain responsible for the security of the game balls and back-up balls for each club. They will remain in the custody of the KBC until 10 minutes prior to kickoff. At that point, the KBC along with a designated Game Official and the League’s Security Representative will bring the footballs to the on-field replay station. Upon arrival, the game balls will be distributed to each club’s Ball Crew in the presence of the Security Rep. The back-up balls will remain in the officials’ locker room and will be secured to the satisfaction of the Referee prior to the KBC leaving for the playing field.

NFL Game Ball Procedures | NFL Football Operations

According to this, the K-Ball Coordinator only holds them until 10 minutes prior to kickoff. Then the balls get distributed to each team's ball crew.

Edit: And this link confirms this info after the Deflategate scandal, which makes it seem pretty current.

NFL reportedly will institute new procedures for game balls

Yes. If there is one thing we have learned out of this whole scam, is that

...ALL BALLS SHALL NOT BE ALTERED IN ANY WAY, AFTER THE REFS HAVE APPROVED THEM"
.. I know this is a major paraphrase here, but we get the point.. Shoved down our throats!

Oh c'mon! When has the league ever made a big deal about the rule involving the psi level of footballs? If it's a clear violation, and they're feeling mean, they might fine you a few thousand dollars . Look, Aaron Rogers openly boasted about violating the rule for pete's sake!

I don't even care anymore.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We don't need anyone else, and we sure as **** don't need their approval. **** em.

Good overall post Niko with the beginning and end saying it well.

Look, for those getting upset about ball warming or whatever, unless you are a astroturfed poster you are wasting your precious mental energy. It is a complete and total waste of time and mental energy to be angry at "why" there is a double standard. One might as well get upset and rant that the sun rises in the east.
One last review:
1. Belichick is disliked, this is the target most wanted in the NFL and mass media circles, the situation arose that allowed a proxy to be targeted(Brady).
2. The Patriots win too much in the eyes of the football masses and even the general public. The ugly specter of envy and irrational anger was, and is, on display. They must cheat! It is not fair! (think Red Sox nation's view of the Yankes prior to 2003 x 5).
3. The story was immediately framed as cheating by the significantly less than honorable mass media, and it was repeated without nuance or counter point ad nauseum (abundantly feeding point number 2).

If this has been Josh McCown the QB or Cleveland the team this would have had a shelf life of a joint at a Grateful Dead concert or the interest level of a 15th Century English Lit symposium. Welcome to the unfairness of business, media, life. And unless you are willing to absolutely, without exception, shut off all things NFL except the Patriots, move on from trying to get justice through anger at something like the Raiders warming a football. Stop with the "but they did X! Why aren't they getting Y!", it isn't healthy and it isn't a good use of your time or energy.

Did you mention that every single one of us has video of McAdoo illegally using a walkie talkie?

Oh, 5h!t.!
That's right.

Thanks for reminding me.

And one Ray killed a guy,
and one Ray punched a woman.

Other than that's it's pretty much "Da Pats dun it". ;)

Wrong.
12 Primary balls, 12 backup. Period!

We are not crying.

It's hypocrisy, plain and simple. But who cares anymore.?
No ones listening.

Keep winning, keep winning, keep winnings...LOL.

NOTE: Sorry guy's I'm on a little vacation time from work.
I apologize for blabbering on like a guy who's... uh..... on a little vacation time from work.

NFL clears them:

Raiders cleared in ball-warming incident

“That was not a game ball,” league spokesman Brian McCarthy told PFT via email. “It was a practice ball that was put back in a team bag. The K-ball coordinator confirmed there were no unauthorized balls used during the game.”

Well there you go. "It's not Tom Brady, right? / No Sir".
OK sweet. As you were,

What happened to the 12 primary/ 12 back up ball rule?.
Or did I just misinterpret the "Rules".? (Imagine that)o_O

I have no clue what the rule is this season.?

Edit; And I thought included K balls?

These double standards are a big part of the many reasons I have not watched a down of live football this season. The NFL is a joke under this regime. As long as Roger Goodell is commissioner, the league does not get a cent of my money, nor a second of my viewership.

I'm ready for XFL 2.0....do it Vince.
