More and more, as time goes on, I realize why it is that the Brady haters of the world can kiss my ass.

Joe Starkey: Alejandro Villanueva used to be … a Patriots fan?

Actually, Villanueva maintains great respect for Brady and the Patriots because they helped carry him through some harrowing times in Afghanistan, where he served three tours of duty in the Army. He deeply appreciates Brady’s connection to the military.

“The crazy thing is, I get calls from people who are overseas, secretive places, doing really tough missions, and they say that when they have a bad mission, bad day, Tom Brady will (video-teleconference) them or will talk to them, you know?” he said. “It’s one of those things where regardless of how competitive we are — and obviously Steelers-Patriots for us, maybe not so much for them, is such an important game on the schedule — you can put football aside and really look up to a player who’s doing great things for servicemen and women.

“I mean, that means a lot.”

It would be nice if some more stories like this came out, showing the real and true side of a once in a lifetime QB.

Instead, we’ll get multiple stories about how he yelled at JMcD, or some ******** about his political ties or something. It’s a shame. Seriously.

The thing I like is that Brady walks the walk and does not look for attention. He does good because it IS good. Got to respect a man for that.

Meanwhile Forehead sells cheap pizza, pimps awful beer, orders HGH under his wife's name and sexually harresses physical therapists... yet, he is the one constantly defended by the media.

It sure is a shame (as well as a sham) and it's the main reason that I'm dumping the NYFL once Brady is done.

He’s a cheater so it doesn’t matter

And there is the problem. TB12 is the GOAT in football and probably a better person in real life. Unfortunately most of the country think he is just a lying cheater. Lucky he doesn’t seem to care about public perception.

I have tremendous respect for a person who will help others or be charitable with no desire for recognition of it. No "look at how charitable and nice I am!". That Brady is the type of guy who will do that and not care whether people know he does it is pretty awesome.

Villanueva is a class act. On and off the field.
+1. It is too bad that he had to apologize for standing for the anthem earlier this season when the rest of the Steelers stayed in the locker room. That they had the b*lls to criticize him, a combat veteran and winner of medals for valor under fire ( rescuing a wounded fellow soldier) sickened me.

It’s utter bollocks that he had to, the guy had done more things for your country and others than most.

Be nice if he ends up here one day
