Even if we end up with the 2nd seed, it still doesn't mean jack. The way Pittsburgh has been playing, I wouldn't be surprised to see them 1 and done in the playoffs, which means the Pats will host the AFCCG. 2nd seed does not automatically mean you'll be travelling anywhere. We just need to worry about ourselves, and take care of business.

I am more worried about avoiding the 3 seed. If the Patriots go 1-2, Jax would need to lose at least two games. If the Patriots go 2-1, they'll still need Jax to go 2-1 or worse ( Pending the loss is to Pittsburgh). Furthermore, even if the Patriots beat Pittsburgh, both teams will have three losses. You still can't afford another loss, because odds are very good the Steelers beat an inept franchise and a Savage led squad. I am not confident they beat Buffalo...

Must win game as far as i'm concerned if you believe this is a Championship team if the Patriots lose this game history tells you the season isn't going to end well, losing multiple games in December and not having the one seed isn't a formula that ends with the Patriots winning the Super Bowl.

Why would anyone be confident of winning in Pittsburgh in January if they can't win on Sunday apart from because it happened once in the early 2000s.

Recent history tells us the Patriots haven't fared well in playoff rematches where they lost the first time against a good opponent.

2011 Season - Giants won in regular season and Super Bowl
2012 Season - Ravens won in regular season and AFC Championship
2015 Season - Broncos won in regular season and in AFC Championship

People here really have been underestimating the squealers and no i don't wanna face them in pittsburgh in january. This team needs to win on Sunday plain and simple.

This game will be a one sided ass whooping by NE and a snoozefest. I doubt I'll be able to stay awake through all of it. I'm bored to tears just thinking about the game being essentially over in the 2nd quarter.

One thing that's unusual about the Steelers is that Big Ben and L. Bell haven't had their customary injury stint. Hopes for their slakes it doesn't happen later.

And of course once the game was close you would start ****ting your pants thinking about the Steelers just like predicted a month ago.

It is the same sad story every year where people suddenly for no reason get scared of teams like the Ravens or Jacksonville. The mental disconnect between on the one hand claiming that you have the best QB and then hoping for a cupcake schedule is just absurd. If you find Baltimore or the Jaguars scary you better just not even turn the screen on for the SB.

None of this matters one bit. It is 2017 and not the past.

I can't remember when any team signed so many WRs . Can any of you update me

Pat's, show me the money. You can do it, just do your job.

Go Pats

Buffalo & the Jets are division games. Throw the records out.

The Jets will start Bryce Petty or Hackenberg and the Bills Peterman or worse if he doesnt get cleared until then.

Are you kidding me ?

And yet they just lost to Jay Cutler....so your point is irrelevant

Jay Cutler is a substantially better QB than any of those two. Look at how many games he has started in this league and how many those clowns have.

You really are clueless..

I dont think the pats have had to play a healthy ben, bell and brown....for a full game....ever....this is going to be harder than previous encounters with the Steelers.

Another thing to watch in this game - and it's pretty concerning - last 3 games vs Pittsburgh - Julian Edelman (catches/targets/yards) : 8/10-188 1 TD, 9/10-60, 11/12-97...#11 is a HUGE factor against Pittsburgh's defense, so this is Brady's first time facing Pittsburgh without his #1 go to "circle of trust" receiver...averages 10 targets a game vs from Pliable Avocado Ice Cream Man...

Yep, i agree with this. I know there were some players out on the defense Monday night, but man, watching that game gave me the hives and a bad deja vu of the Week one defense. I think if the O line get situated, the offense will be fine.
The Monday night defense scares the sh@t out of me. For real. Not in a good way scare either.

I agree. Pittsburgh has an ELITE offense. If we don't have Van Noy and Flowers, no way the Pats win this game. I think to beat Pittsburgh, we have to keep the Steelers offense off of the field, wear their defense down with long drives running the ball like we did in our last 2 wins (almost 200 yards rushing in each). Defensively, they need to attack Rapelisberger. Sack him 4+ times, hit him a bunch. That part is possible if Flowers and Van Noy play well. That frees up Lee and others to go after the QB.

Let me guess, you’re betting 1,000 dollars (specifically) on it?

Not since Bell’s rookie year.
