There are three possible explanations for Brady's play tonight:
A. He had a bad night and the team was missing too many key players.
B. He's hurt.
C. It's week 14 and this is what happens to 40 year old QB's in week 14 when they've only had one week off since August.

Personally, I'm going with "A" until proven otherwise.
If it's "B," I hope they stop ****ing around with us and just tell us.
C. is unthinkable.

He looked good but I don't know about comparing him to Revis. Revis was an all time great.

Also, I wouldn't put Brandin Cooks and Hogan as the measuring sticks. They're good and Brady makes them better, but if Howard shuts down guys like Julio Jones etc. then okay.

Anyone have an opinion on whether that was blatant holding by Xavien Howard on that third down play with Cooks doing the double move? or is that allowed assuming they were within 5 yards? Howard stuck his left arm out and stopped Cooks, but not sure if that's allowed within 5 yards.

I couldn't quite tell if it was more than 5 yards, but Howard played Cooks well overall. A hand or two of soft contact usually isn't enough to get flagged unless you're a Patriot so good on him. I remember Eric Berry checking Gronk in the season opener better than anyone I've seen with the exception of Earl Thomas.

Blame the defense if you must, but the offense was ZERO for eleven on 3rd down. IMHO, the offense was truly awful.

The defense played about as well as they could after losing Flowers in addition to everyone else. In addition, branch was injured early, and came back.

If the offense was on the field lots more, then we were likely OK.

That’s what I find silly. People freaking out over a game that’s ultimately meaningless. Half the team is hurt or sick. Perhaps NE knew the game was meaningless and didn’t play like the season counted on a win (since it doesn’t at all). Play hard but try to get out healthy, reload for the important one next week.

I thought it was pretty telling that BB went to the players after the TD drive and congratulated them individually despite the score and how the game had gone until then. Given the situation this was the toughest game left on the schedule and unfortunately it didnt work out. Lets hope we get some players back for next weeks showdown and then see from there.

Pittsburgh is going to hurt this team next week, and if by some miracle we make it to the SB the NFC is gonna clean our plates.

Should have franchised Jimmy as insurance.
Man that’s one spicy take lol

Dude, you’ve got almost 3,000 posts here in under 4 months of account creation. That’s something.

Yeah that can’t be good for your health.

Brady played like Brady does in Miami a good part of the time

Yeah, but I just don't think he looked normal today. I'm not trying to overreact or say we don't win next week, but he just looked weird today.

The offense was awful the defense was mediocre.

Both INTs are on more on Cooks not fighting through contact to at least prevent an INT than on Howard making a play but whatever. The fact that he didnt even touch Howard on the second INT and enabled him to run it 30 yards back is a joke.

Both were badly underthrown, luuked. Also TD pass to White was not a good throw . among many others..

How's it meaningless? Had they won they wouldn't have to win out. Now they have to win out.

Ok lets do it slowly so you dont get overwhelmed. They win next week they will have the tiebreaker on Pittsburgh. Therefore tonights loss was as meaningless to the big picture as Pittsburghs win yesterday was.

I read a stat that after the 11th game he has slowed down the last couple of years. That's to end the season. It's a long season with the bumps and bruises.
