Gillislee is unlucky that the other three RBs are playing well and are multidimensional. It might be expected that one or another RB would be dinged up or slumping at this point. I hope he's taking it well. For all we know we'll need him in a critical spot.
Its been said already, but the middle of the run D has been pretty good since about game 3...if the edge gets shore up, the ripple effect will echo throughout the front seven.
Wonder if it is an attitude or production related problem...tough to be stuck behind Burkhead, White and Lewis.......Pats have a great group in their backfield including Develin.
Just a wild thought; Isaiah Crowell is in the last year of his rookie contract in Cleveland and word out here is that he wants out. How about a sign-and-trade deal with Crow going to NE in exchange for Gillislee? BB may need to add something else to sweeten the pot. I might suggest Allen as a vet backup to David Njoku. Crow is a good receiver in addition to being a strong between the tackles runner. With Allen in the deal, might be able to get a mid-round draft choice from the Browns. Probably won't happen but it's always fun to speculate.
