Great win, this team is really coming together.

This is a bit of a nitpick, but I think Gronk is being underutilized, especially in the red zone. Our red zone offense has been a bit off and he is one of the most dominant red zone targets of all time. 1 td in the last 4 games isn’t enough. He had only 3 total targets today and none in the red zone. Obviously the offense is doing great overall but I think they could be even better if they feed the beast.

I'm sure it will come. I was actually really pleased to see Gronk had such a low workload in the receiving game and we won comfortably and efficiently. Nice for him to have less on his plate the last two games.

This wasn't unexpected. The Raiders have a decent front 4 and their OLB's cover the edges to the sidelines really well. They are soft in the middle against the run especially against the shifty RB's so Burkhead and Lewis made sense. Imo.
I don't think OAK lbs are good in coverage. He should have had a few.

The bigger reason is JMD going with RBs that can run AND receive

As good as White is, he's not a big run threat

Right on cue. As season goes along, Pats find their way and progress. Its what they do. To quote Edelman's " Ya Gotta Believe" No reason to believe other wise no matter how dire it may look.

Didn't notice with D. Allen, but it looked like both Gronk and Bennett were sucking air today and struggling after a while. I think the elevation was affecting the bigger guys on their route running.

That's what I was trying to say but didn't. LOL. But as usual you were able to in 3 sentences less than I couldn't. haha

They haven't faced great offenses but they are taking care of business which is what a good D does

My favorite stats are relative PPG adjusted for opponent. Even considering the offenses they have faced they are still something like -7PPG over the offenses they have faced the last 6 games.

FYI.. more than -5PPG is elite IMO.

Edit: for reference last year only 4 Ds finished above -5PPG on D. Pats, Denver, KC, Seattle.. So if you are in that range that is good company. Over this winning steak they have been in that range.

Meh. It's all good.

Probably a lot did not like the first bomb call on 3rd and 5. But the follow up was great - when they got the ball back, they immediately went back to the bomb and caught the Raiders. That was an excellent call.

Agree. That's thats the key . I did that math last week.

I projected the Pats to finish allowing a respectable 17.9 ppg.

Ian

patsfans.com really needs a 2018 ashley1992 calendar.

Send her to Bora Bora for a week.

It would be an improvement over my current 2018 multi-directional metal forming equipment time piece.

I have a better idea. Let's make a "Men of PatsFans, com calendar" for all the ladies on this site. I call Mr. January... with my pot belly it may be best to wear a thick sweater

mass exodus from today's game thread...

One of the cleanest game day threads I've seen in awhile. Doom and gloomers didn't know what to do with themselves today. Just find it odd that so e of those same peeps didn't come just to check in. I guess they just like the misery or are imposters.
