Similarities to 2014

Lincoln Kennedy adopted a dog named Brady in 2014 who ran away from the Detroit Kennedy compound on 4/14/2017 and crashed the rock musical version of Our American Cousin at Ford Field. Animal Control officer Lee Harvey Goodell deemed Brady to be a public menace and shot him in the back of his head. Coincidence?

All due respect to DEN, KC, BUF, TN, etc....its NE and Pitt again.
Coming around to the idea that the Steelers may be better than you had initially felt, or just unimpressed with the other horses in the race?

This must be Joker’s “other” account.

Another similarity:
2014 Team stayed in San Diego after their game there and then flew to Green Bay directly.
2017 Team is planning to stay in Denver after their game there and will fly directly to Mexico City.

I remember the team referencing that week in San Diego as being great for team solidarity and morale.
It would’ve been nice to see that solidarity and morale carry over to a victory on the back end of the road trip, but maybe it helped bring the players together for the stretch run of the season.

The 2014/2017 Pats both had to sweat out an early home performance against a young, up-and-coming QB that many thought would have been a blowout ('14 vs Carr/Oak, '17 vs Watson/Hou).

I think their defense is better than I thought it would be but their offense is worse. Roeth and Bell look slower to me. Juju is a force.

Except for NE, their remaining schedule seems easy and I still don't think they are a GREAT team but they have a legit shot at being 11-2 when they play NE Week 15 and potentially being 14-2. I think they'll finish 12-4.

I’m hoping for 11-5, myself. Going to be a tough matchup on 12/17.

It will be fun watching them get torched again

Pats schedule is no joke either but finishing 12-4 would require winning all the home games and going 3-2 on the road and those are 5 tough road games.

NFL didn’t do us any favors with how they scheduled that game, so shame on the Steelers if they can’t pull one out this year.

Of course, the potential matchup in Jan. would be much more important than the Dec. one, but it’s possible that you can’t get the latter without the former due to the HFA/bye implications. May as well just put those douches in our division, already.

5 tough road games?
Buffalo? Miami? Denver with Trevor siemian? Oakland at a neutral site. Same Oakland that would have lost 6 straight of not for 3 penalties after time ran out?
I don’t see a tough game in those 4 unless you think we will allow the bills to force the 3+ turnovers they are getting wins with.

Gotta go 6-2 down the stretch with one of those victories coming at Heinz Field.

Buffalo- I think this Bills team is decent. Pats should win but it won't be easy.
MIA- always a pain but might be easier this time. Horrible squad.
DEN- Always a pain in Denver
Pitt- will be hard
OAK- they beat KC in Arrowhead

Yep. I think KC still has a shot to go 12-4 but will most likely finish 11-5

They are only winning because of turnovers. They are +15 and have 15 takeaways in their last 5 games. If they can keep doing that they can be decent but I doubt we are handing them the ball.

They are awful. Anywhere.

DEN- Always a pain in Denver
They weren’t last year. And are worse now.

Pitt- will be hard
Definitely the big game

OAK- they beat KC in Arrowhead
There only win in their last 6 games. And by the very narrowest of margins.

I mean if we are going to say a team that won a game once means they are tough or a crappy team that used to good at home when they were good is tough then we have 8 really tough games left.

I think the Pats split with Buffalo, home team wins in each.

Denver is a problem always for NE, in Denver that is and Denver is going to be getting desperate by then. Our defense was much better last year as was the O Line and we had JEII.

Pittsburg, their defensive line is looking really good but I still think the secondary is vulnerable. JuJu could be a problem.

Not the least bit worried about Oakland.

Miami ...well maybe the Pats can sweep them.

12-4.

Other than a few players and coaches, the uniforms their wearing and a couple of coincidental stats, the 2014 Pats have nothing to do with the 2017 Pats. Different schedule, different injuries, different players, etc.

Turnovers matter. BUF has 11 ints and is 4th in rushing D. With the way the NE offense is playing its good enough to give Tom a hard time.

DEN was a 13-3 game in the 4th quarter. last year. Seimien sucks but they still have a good D.

Carr is getting his game back but BUF made him look bad. Very winnable game but not a walkover

Side note I am really starting to hate the word solidarity. Like I've heard the damn word too much over the last year and now I don't want to hear it ever again
Would be nice to have it stricken from the English language.

And they are 28th against the pass and 29th passing offense.
They are winning strictly because of turnovers. If you believe they will continue this pace, then they could be a decent team but I do not believe they will.
They are +4,3,3,2,1 in their wins
and even and +2 in their losses.
If you believe they are one of the greatest turnover differential teams in nfl history then they are a threat.
Winning by turnovers is not an effective method against Tom Brady

You say that like down 13-3 is a good job. They have scored 42 points in their last 4 games, 3 against teams with losing records.

The have lost 5 of 6. The one win was the narrowest possible margin including neeedinf multiple penalty calls at 0:00. Carr has been bad all season.

No game is a guatantee but these just dint qualify as 5 tough games
