Thursday Night Football....Texans @ Bengals

Every time Watson drops back to pass, I figure there's about a 50/50 shot that the ball leaves his hand. Not that he completes a pass, just that he even tries to throw it.

I don't think Watson can read defenses very well. One read and boom...frantic.

Is this another Carmazi in the making?

Wow, how did he miss LaFail?

Man, some people just shouldn't get undercuts. Andy Dalton is one of them. He looks ridiculous, and not just cause he's a ginger.

A punt -- what a shock!

so...another barn burner here in preseason game 2...only two more of these shytshows until the real season starts..

Hahahahha how is that a catch

If Gronks wasn't a TD, that sure as hell wasn't a catch.

You like a challenge? Convince me the NFL is a serious organization.

But wait there's more! Rams v 49ers next week! Yahoooooiii

Definitely possible, but I think the larger issue is that he's just not ready. It's no secret that he's a raw prospect: everyone knew dating back to last year that his mechanics and accuracy were not pro-caliber. He was drafted on the strength of his raw athleticism, intangibles, and willingness to work his ass off to get better.

He just hasn't had enough time; he really has no business being on the field right now, but when the alternative is Tom Savage, well, you pretty much get thrown out there by default. So I'd hesitate to write him off too quickly, for a lot of the same reasons why I don't think Brissett's loss to the Bills last year was career-defining.

If he still doesn't look like he belongs a year from now, then I think the time's right to start questioning if he can play in the NFL.

It's not. It's a borderline mafioso type organization. It really is.

No offense in a prime Thursday night game? Call an incompletion a catch.

Agreed. Problem is they run a risk of ruining him. Good point on Brissett as well.

AJ Green isn't a free agent until 2020. Some people are gluttons for punishment.
