NFL Week 1 Games

Notice a few upsets in college this weekend and the games were a bunch of surprises today. Patriots lost their opener, Boy Vegas is raking in the dough.

What were there, about eight pick-sixes today? And there are still three games to go.

I suppose it is part of the Law of Unintended Consequences. Practice limits from the last CBA seems to have a negative effect on the quality of play, especially in early season games.

Of course, that is how Vegas controls the gambling and never loses. Whenever their is a lot of money involved in anything, there is always corruption.

lmao

Uh, where did I say that? I guess since you have nothing to support your statements, you have to put words in my mouth and respond to something I never said.

He's not Brady, he's not Rodgers, he's not Brees. But in the past 2 years he has 9,000 yards passing with 54 TD's against 23 INT's playing for a clusterf*** of an organization. What is he not doing that you think he should???

In the right organization, he would be a legit threat and he is definitely one of the better young QB's out there.

Put him on the Texans or maybe last year's Texans and that would have been a legitimate threat.

Hey Rodgers threw a pic and a couple of "Almost pics" maybe this is the cliff?...
Lot of "almost pics" today around the league, do we count those now or are they just reserved for patriots SB's?

Seattle D didn't implode, their O couldn't sustain a drive to give their D any rest. They could'v won kicking a few field goals if they could'v put drives together...

You are getting angry. We differ in our assessments.

My opinion : neither Luck, nor Cousins would be able to lead any team in the League to the 2017 championship. I think both of them would be able to do well if they lead a team with the D of the first Ravens champs, maybe those Tampa champs, the 85 Bears. Because they wouldn't be counted upon. So "they aren't surrounded by talent/stability" makes no difference as they'd fail to win it all with any current squad if they became the starting QB...

So why keep them around ? They are among the highest paid QBs in the League. They are InT liabilities in key spots and they prey upon weaker teams to pump up their stats. I think they both retire without championships and that a change of scenery wouldn't change that.

If you were keeping track only 4 teams during the early games scored more than the Pats did. 2 teams if you take away defensive scores.

Spoiled by Brady, you'd give anything for a QB as good as Luck 2 years after Brady has retired.

What you have here isn't normal and will never be repeated.
I've noticed that attitude in this forum as well. Basically if a QB isn't as good as Brady, then they suck. Of course, being the greatest of all time, you won't find terribly many QB's as good as Brady.

QBs I'd rather have than Cousins & Luck :

Carr, Wilson, Eli, Ben, Rodgers, Stafford (even though he's just so-so), Cam, Ryan, Brees, Alex Smith (again, not great, but better), Winston, Mariota.

Hey cool, our boy Hightower is in this years SNF opening theme.

Alex Smith? Eli? Stafford? No.

Everyone else, sure, though I think Winston and Mariota remain up in the air.

LMAO Alex Smith? Drew Brees is almost retired, Cam had a 77 rating last year, Stafford is basically Luck with more time in the nfl and less achievements.

Winston and Mariota? They've proven nothing.

When someone says they'd take Alex Smith over Luck i can no longer take that person serious as a poster and it's a waste of time replying to someone who has no idea what they're talking about.
