If you'd seen the Colts backups play at all in the pre season them wanting Brissett is no big surprise, some of the worst QB play in history.

I hope we can salvage Dorsett, then this would be the steal of a lifetime he could be a very good punt returner, not convinced about him as a WR yet.

Still has to learn the playbook and meld with Brady.

I think he can be a player here. I brung him up numerous time. Can play the slot or the outside.

Seems like a good gamble, for a long term project with questionable mechanics IMO. He's a third string QB, not a position difficult to fill with a great coaching staff.

I obviously don't know for sure, but this screams that Jimmy G isn't going anywhere after this season. I have always believed that. Now, nothing is ever set in stone with the Pats, but I think this is a close to confirmation as we'll get.

My only concern is a lingering one regarding WRs coming into this system and being able to pick up the route tree on the fly.

Who was the last one to do it quickly?

This might be more geared to PR now with hopes of depth for WR come December.

To me, either Jimmy is staying or they have a guy in mind in the draft next year.

The best thing about this is that the Colts traded the WR they stupidly picked over Malcom Brown allowing him to fall to the Pats.

And we picked Brown over Landon Collins, who has developed into a top 5 safety in the league, and was pretty much a sure lock pick coming out of Bama. just imagine our secondary with him in it.
