Perfect Brady Ending

The perfect Brady ending is for the G.O.A.T. to quit while he's still at the top of his game, is still at the very top of the QB heap, is racking up Lombardi's, is healthy and has a strong supporting cast?

Opinions will vary, of course, but IMO that seems more like the worst ending than the best.
Quit when you are finished.

ya..........and playing until he sucks means he will suck out there before he goes......most likely due to some physical limitation that he will then have to carry around with him for the rest of his life ala joe montana........maybe that's what he wants

"I will play until my body can't take it.......then I will get a cane and am sure that my wife will love the way that looks"
Would that be his choice or do you feel you should make it for him?

Or at least when you can see father time picking up speed behind you.
He will know.
That's the thing about athletes that play at the level Brady does. His brain will still think it but his body won't be able to do it. That won't sit well with him. I think guys like Brady go through one bout of denying it and thinking they can outwork it then just don't want to play at a watered down level.

maybe or maybe he's in and thumbs up on the whole plan

I think Tom is ok with Jimmy on the team and pushing him.

As part of a succession plan, no....I think?

I don't think he cares either way.

I think he cares deeply who the QBs are that want his job.

In that same motion he is completely comfortable with that competition.

He hasn't ran from it, but I think he'd rather not have it.

I just hope the team doesn't quit on him.
Other than that I'm okay whenever he decides. I'm Still gonna feel empty as hell then.

There is no competition.

At 40 could be either way.....some people are in full boat the way he is until they're done ... no in between....I don't know...maybe nobody does

Would what be his choice? None of us has a clue......but if a clue was required to imagine the possibilities, there would be no threads here

That's what Bledsoe thought and what Brady remembers.
You are comparing Tom Brady 2017 to drew Bledsoe 2001?
And jimmy to Brady.

So let's say donte Hightower is competing for his job with geneo Grissom. Same thing.

The perfect ending as a player for him would be surpassing the league darling Steelers (would be former in this scenario) record of Super Bowl wins as a franchise. The GOAT having more wins than the franchise owned by the scummy Rooney family would be glorious.

That's not what he said.

He said it was a competition.
If it's a competition then that means there was a chance garoppolo was going to be named the starter.
Otherwise it's not a competition.

That's what you said. "Do you REALLY think Garoppolo can beat out Brady"

robertweathers didn't say that. He said it was a competition. Belichick goes into every camp having a competition for every spot. Brady's better, so he'll beat out Garoppolo, but if Brady's not better, he'd be phased out.

Look at Wes Welker/Julian Edelman. Everyone just assumed Welker was the hands-down starter no matter what, but in the first couple weeks of the season, it was Julian Edelman who was starting, until he got hurt.

I think Brady is still driven by 2001. He saw a franchise QB that just got a huge contract replaced. Bledsoe was blindsided by the move. He's not about to let that happen to him. It even goes earlier than that. He was displaced in college and had to beat out Henson. He knows what can happen.
