I don't think he cares either way.True.
I bet if Tom was given the choice, he'd want Jimmy gone.

Quit when you are finished. The perfect Brady ending is for the G.O.A.T. to quit while he's still at the top of his game, is still at the very top of the QB heap, is racking up Lombardi's, is healthy and has a strong supporting cast?
Opinions will vary, of course, but IMO that seems more like the worst ending than the best.
Quit when you are finished.
Would that be his choice or do you feel you should make it for him?ya..........and playing until he sucks means he will suck out there before he goes......most likely due to some physical limitation that he will then have to carry around with him for the rest of his life ala joe montana........maybe that's what he wants
"I will play until my body can't take it.......then I will get a cane and am sure that my wife will love the way that looks"
He will know.Or at least when you can see father time picking up speed behind you.
maybe or maybe he's in and thumbs up on the whole plan
I don't think he cares either way.
There is no competition.I think he cares deeply who the QBs are that want his job.
In that same motion he is completely comfortable with that competition.
He hasn't ran from it, but I think he'd rather not have it.
There is no competition.
I think Tom is ok with Jimmy on the team and pushing him.
As part of a succession plan, no....I think?
Or at least when you can see father time picking up speed behind you.
That's what Bledsoe thought and what Brady remembers. There is no competition.
Come on. You think garapollo could beat out Brady? That's ridiculous.I think Brady and BB would disagree with you.
You are comparing Tom Brady 2017 to drew Bledsoe 2001?That's what Bledsoe thought and what Brady remembers.

If it's a competition then that means there was a chance garoppolo was going to be named the starter. That's not what he said.
He said it was a competition.

Otherwise it's not a competition.
I think Brady is still driven by 2001. He saw a franchise QB that just got a huge contract replaced. Bledsoe was blindsided by the move. He's not about to let that happen to him. It even goes earlier than that. He was displaced in college and had to beat out Henson. He knows what can happen. You are comparing Tom Brady 2017 to drew Bledsoe 2001?
And jimmy to Brady.
So let's say donte Hightower is competing for his job with geneo Grissom. Same thing.
