I think if the Pats win the SB Brady will retire. I think it would be be the perfect ending, Especally if they pull of 19-0, Think about it 6 QBs ahead of him 6 SB how would that not be the perfect way to end it.

I could see him just taking the Lombardi Calling over JG and handing it to him saying he is the man and walks away

Love the ending but it goes against everything he's been saying.

I honestly think he's going to play until he no longer can. He still has they chip on his shoulder, you can see it everyday he trains. I also think he wants to win another 2 Super Bowls and i wouldn't put it pass him to do it..

It's going to be a mixed emotions the day he retires..

I wish I knew what to think, as much as this scenario is idyllic not sure I can figure out what drives #12... although he is forever humble, if he completes this season with a SB win, will he come back for more to insure his legacy will never be surpassed..

He says he does not care about statistics, however somewhere in the deep recesses in his mind he has to care somewhat.. and maybe that would motivate him to return.. he is on the verge of passing Peyton for regular season wins..

Interesting factoid, Brady has lost 52 games in his career while the second coming of "________ (insert name)" Matt Ryan or Flacco have already lost more games than he has...

It never ceases to amaze me that so many Patriot fans want Brady to quit because they have a boner for Jimmy Garrapolo.

The perfect ending would be winning 5 more SBs.

I don't care much for the transition from Brady to Garoppolo but as much as I enjoy watching him operate, it's my sincere hope Brady, when the time comes, leaves a season early than a season late. I don't want him becoming a shell of himself playing for some crap team. I want him to retire as a Patriot and with one, last Super Bowl win (whichever season it may be).

If the Pats win this year there is no way Brady won't come back for a shot of winning 3 SB's in a row which has never been done. MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, he hangs if they accomplish that. Even then I would doubt retirement is a possibility, unless as he says he sucks.

Brady believes he will be around until 2021 or 2022. It isn't just media hype. It came out in his personal e-mail to his Dad. Longevity, and proving his personal system will get him there, matters to Brady. If a title were what mattered, then he could have walked away 3 months after that e-mail in 2015 after winning the Lombardi. Yet here he is.

I would rather see Brady win several more, JAG move on, and some yet unidentified QB in several years take the helm when Brady is ready to step down. JAG is not now and likely never will be Brady. Those drooling over his possible ascendancy after his stalwart 1.5 games of real football will likely face this harsh reality if that day were to come sooner rather than later. I for one am happy to wait as long as possible for that event.

To me the only thing that might change Brady's career game plan is the desire to be more involved in his kids lives.

Brady has stated his hero was his father and too many missed kids events might change his mind

He has a job that gives him 6 months a year off

Why do people keep wanting to talk about his ending/leaving football? I plan to enjoy every game we can get because we're not likely to see this level of dominance in a Patriot uniform or any mainstream sport for a long time.

Please god make it stop...

What is this obsession people have this year with Brady ending his career. He has clearly stated what his plans are. There is no sub text, no symbolism, no secret succession plan.. if his health allows it he wants to continue playing beyond this season. End of Story.

You have to know that it is in Brady's long term financial benefit for him to play much longer than anyone else. His TB12 center is built on the premise that his diet and exercise routine is basically Viagra for your career (makes you last longer, get it), so as the #1 example of the benefits of the TB12 program, it behooves him to play an extra ordinary amount of time past 40.

Even when he retires, Brady's competitive spirit isn't going anywhere, so he will need something to channel it into. Roger Staubach built a commercial real estate empire in his post playing days, that has made him millions more than he ever did as a player. Both Brady and his wife's current chosen professions have a shelf life and they are both coming up on it. So I'm sure that both of their longevity and the ability to tie it to the TB12 program, are keys to their post football/modeling life.

From Brady's point of view, another SB means the opportunity to notch the only threepeat in history.

Survey says, rrrrnnnnnt.

I have absolutely no worries about this. I don't believe a Brady would continue knowing his abilities had truly dropped off, the only way he will continue when he starts to decline is if they don't have his successor ready, if they are ready he will hang them up as no one has a higher standard for a Brady than he doe s.

I don't want Brady to quit because the reason is he can't play anymore. I want Brady to quit when he's won so much, he doesn't care anymore. #goat.
