"I grew up jealously resenting Tom Brady"

When I travel always find large pockets of folks who dislike the Patriots and Tom Brady, when I ask why they refer to some cheater bullshyt or some other nebulous thing.. however are never able to pinpoint why they dislike them..

Then there is the Gisele thing which really clouds the whole subject.. there is some unwritten rule that #12 should not be married to some multimillionaire supermodel??.."if you are lucky enough to win 5 Superbowls, you are lucky enough".. or some other crazy logic. The world has gone dipshyt crazy...

When I heard that there was a winner from MA in the $750 million Powerball, my first thought was, "I hope it's not Gisele & Tom". The jealous H8ers would go insane.

I think the hate comes from tb and the pats beating their teams, but more importantly the hate stems from envy. Lets face it the man has everything, from his success on the field to his wife to his life in general TB appears to have it all.

In fairness, I hated Troy Aikman because he was a Cowboy while loved Montana and Young becauseI didn't hate the 49ers. I really had no reason to hate Aikman other than the team he played on was so despicable.

I think Brady has the problem of being on the Patriots and everyone hates the Patriots other than Patriots fans.

Those are fools who hate a player because they hate the team. It should be the other way around. I don't hate OBJ because he plays for the Giants, I can't stand him because he lacks humility.

The media and fans today are now drawn to players who have a large ego, are charismatic, and have no problem preaching to the microphone about their self centered beliefs that they thing anyone should give a fk about. A lot of players out there are the equivalent of a bumper sticker, and every year that passes the NFL turns into more of a GD soap opera.

Tact is declining every minute. Funny how many "professional" athletes out there, those who should aspire to be roll models to the millions of people who look up to them, lack poise and intellect.

Well, I was young when I hated Aikman, but I can see it because the player's public personal sometimes gets perceived by their team's perception.

Brady is fiery and a competitor. On another team that might be perceived that way, but on the Patriots it would be perceived as arrogance because the Patriots have a reputation of arrogance.

People hate great teams and great players for those teams out of jealousy. It's more a compliment than anything else. Nobody hates Blake Bortles (except maybe Jacksonville fans).

IT lost me with his Brinks Truck BS. He'd still be here if he wanted to be.
The Brinks Truck thing was off-putting but I'm not ready to write him off as a bad person over it. I hope he gets his big payday from some other team.

Their combined net worth is something like $540 Million dollars.. they probably do not play Powerball. They did it the old fashioned way..

Oh me neither. He's not a bad person. But you may want to look in the mirror when you are three years older, on a bad hip and say things like that.

I can't be the only one laughing about how, in a thread about people irrationally hating Brady, multiple posters are posting about how much they hate LeBron for exactly the same non-reasons.

I say that we should forgive the guy for his mistake. Call it a 'to err is human ...' type of situation. I can't blame him for believing the lies that were being spread.

IT did not trade himself. Special Ed Danny did. Asking for what you are worth does not mean you don't want to be with a team. He played days after his sister died. He played hurt. He went out of his way to promote the Celtics to free agents., He was a great ambassador. Class act on and off the field.

To try to blame him for an idiot trading him is disgusting.

His constant Brinks truck comments did him no favors. He's gonna be 29 and wanted a max contract. At his size and injury issue, not a smart thing to do. Had he said nothing and took what he was worth, fine he may still be here.

"Special Ed Danny?". Jesus, you must be a prince of a f###### guy...

OK so Tom Brady (#12) does NOT possess the cat-like quickness that I rave about and coach people to believe in. Fair enough, He has made for that with hard work and determination.

Pavlov is here!

i lived in wyoming and most of them are broncos fans. they hate him with a passion. womanizing crybaby who cheats and plays in a perfect system. lol

I think it's one of those things where God didn't give to them with even one hand, why give to Brady with both hands and all of Gisele's body parts too?

Whereas being Pats fans, we don't have to think that way, because we can pretend in small part to have shared in the team's success and therefore "we MADE Brady..." you know, cuz we're part of the team and all (the part that pays for the little band of millionaires who actually play )

Anyway however this works, it's better that somehow paying for Millionaires on the JETE or Redskins.
