One poster here Luuked thinks Hogan is more replaceable than Amendola lol

I could see hogan Putting up probowl Caliber numbers honestly, he's really good

That's a slight misrepresentation of Luuked's opinion. He sees the WR unit as whole with individual responsibilities that are necessary for the group's overall success.

Whats interesting is Crean is married to the sister of the Harbaugh idiots.

One of the Harbaughs coaches the Ravens and is easily one of the biggest crybabies you'll ever see. However, the other Harbaugh coaches TB12's alma mater, the University of Michigan. He took the job, in part, because Tom lobbied him hard to take it. Jim called playing catch with Tom before the Michigan Colorado game last year one of the greatest thrills of his life. He also loudly and repeatedly calls Tom the greatest football player of all time. I kind of like him.

Hogan might be a top 5 deep threat in the NFL. I'll just go ahead and say it. He's tall, strong, very fast, gets great separation. Man buffalo really misused him.

There is no "might". He finished #1 in YPC and was in the top 5 in 20yd+ catches per reception.

The misconception is in order to be a deep threat a WR MUST be a speed merchant. It helps, but its not an absolute necessity. If you watch Hogan off the line he has a nice variation of moves and really does a nice job of adjusting his routes to avoid over the top coverage.

Its Brady too that sets that up for him by looking off the safety or changing the routes for him.

Its teamwork and Hogan clearly gets it.

He has been the best player in camp according to most the past 2 days and yet people want to trade him?

Well I don't think anyone wants to trade him per say. I certainly didn't say I wanted to. I said I would be open to the idea of trading him for the right deal if a DE or OT came along that could help.

Considering the state of the DEs right now I think there is merit to that point. I am not saying I would push to trade him but if a team needing a WR wants to deal I would hope they would be open to it considering the needs of this team but also they shouldn't feel forced to take a deal that they don't feel is a win for them either.

Yep.

Jim pays props to Tom and that is goodness. He also knows the angst TB12 harbors against UoM and ripped a fundraising staffer a new one for trying to syphon money out of Tom.

John is a douche. BB helped him get that BAL job and hes done nothing but show disrespect.

This is a pretty cool photo. Thanks for the link.

Hogan is having a good camp but if he puts up probowl numbers something went horribly wrong. Jules, Gronk and Cooks should all finish with better numbers than him at the least.

I would not be surprised if Hogan has only 30 receptions this year if things go well for the Patriots.

Brady has max probably 400 completed passes this year.

250 will be divided between Cooks/Edelman/Gronk

White and other RBs probably get 70. That leaves 80 for everyone else which includes Hogan/Mitchell/Amendola/Allen and people like Develin/3rd TE. I would not count on Hogan getting even half. Even if he gets 20 yards a catch that is 800 yards max.

I am not trying to say I don't like Hogan or value him cause I do. I think when he makes catches they will be big plays. I think he continues to put up those 20 yard on average chunks in this offense. But it will be big plays here and there when the chances open up not and not a common thing.

I would predict a repeat of last year pretty much which is fine by me.

I live in VA so made the trip out there today, was an awesome experience. First team defense looked great and got to see Cooks grab a nice TD.

Any photos?

I'm not sure what the numbers are going to be. I guess it will depend on how teams scheme against them. I mean we could see all of them have career type nights on any given Sunday.

It's going to be fun to watch that's for sure.

Strange to say but very accurate. Gronk and Cooks are the top 2 knockout artists on the offense

White, DLew, Jules, DA and MM are the jabs and body shots.

Hogan is the kick in the balls.

I liked the way you put that. I would say Jules is the body shots and White/Lewis are the jabs. Hogan is the low blow the ref doesn't see haha.

Hogan in this offense has the role of being the guy who kills you if you focus too many guys on Gronk/Cooks/Jules.

2v1 Gronk down the seam... pass to Hogan
Cheat up on the underneath to Edelman... pass to Hogan
Cheat your safety too much to Cooks... pass to Hogan

He will have his chances to make big plays. Personally I can picture a a few times he is left uncovered entirely cause a defender sees Cooks and Gronk and runs up to try to stop the pass to them. I could see Hogan breaking the record on YPR this year if that happens too much. When Gronk was in there he was around 20.. Add Cooks and a few broken plays and we could be looking at 25 or close to it.

Still no news on Rivers and I wonder if that is odd at this point. You would think the media would have saw him somewhere after practice.

At least he was able to walk off. It sucks but that tells me it is at least not season ending most likely even if it is a multi week thing.

Just remember that Brady walked off in 2008 as well.

Damn.....hope Hollister is OK.

If I'm not mistaken, Cody Hollister has been nicked up since day 1 and just recently got back onto the field.. So it might be related..

How can the guy who gets replaced for parts of every season be less replacable than the WR who played the most snaps in a SB in SB history?
