Tannehill hurt at practice:

Eventually SOMEBODY will NEED to sign Kaepernick

I don't care about his stance on things. But "no", teams might as well lose with the thousands of other individuals who want to play QB IN the league. If you're going to lose, it is irrelevant.

If RT is out for good, they might as well just finish last instead of the middle-of-the-pack they were heading for anyways.

Yeah I would see Cutler as an option (vs Kapernick) if he can get out of his broadcasting contract if this turns out to be serious. I also think Tannehill isnt that much better than Matt Moore as someone else mentioned.

Forgot to add but the reason being he worked for Gase in the past..

i think cutler is smart enough to know that if he bails on his tv contract before the season even starts, he probably isnt going to get a second chance at it for a while. so whilst there is more up front money coming in to play for the fins, long term he can make bank in the studio and nto get sacked 8 times a game.

Over at fin heaven a poster has a friend with inside medical info confirmed to him that its a torn ACL.

But it won't be a Miami team.....not after wearing this shirt....
( image of Fidel)....

Yes, him praising Castro is a much bigger deal than kneeling during the anthem, to many in south Florida (where I live).

I dont disagree, wouldnt make alot of sense. Cutler also doesnt strike me as the type that stays ready (read: works out alot) and its not like the Dolphins are on the cusp of winning a SB or even a wild card..

I'm more along the lines of hoping for them to get a wildcard spot again. Better them than a Baltimore or Denver sneaking in.

Listen, I keep hearing this crap over and over and over. It's complete hogwash! The only reason we struggled against Baltimore was because of Ray Lewis and Ed Reed. They could handle all the scheming we did. Now that they're gone they're not a team for us to fear. We may have a hard game against them, but that's normal par for course for any team we play. 2014 playoffs happens, it's not the norm when we play them now. Ray Lewis and Ed Reed are gone. They were the reason we struggled!

Personally I do not want to play divisional opponents in the playoffs. Divisional opponents are always dicey since they know you so well despite the rest league saying the AFC East sucks.

Agreed, but also note that Flacco had big games against our D. Right up until the game losing pick.

Same with Denver. Outside of games where NE has been severely depleted by injury, the Broncos have been thoroughly embarrassed in every game the two teams have played this decade.

I feel like our secondary is much better now and can handle the expected return of Jump Ball Joe this season if we play them in the playoffs. As for anything else, their tight ends have been dropping like flies. They're really screwed with injuries. Plus who knows how Flacco's back is. They got no running backs either with the loss of Dixon. They just have West and Woodhead. They lost an o-lineman to retirement, then another o-lineman rookie who was on the 1st team in practice. They're really hurting with injuries.

Yup, we always had an injury problem every time played in Denver lately. That being said their corners are very good. So I'm taking a wait and see approach when we play them. I do lean your way though.

well, you know except for the last time we played them in the playoffs....without Lewis and Reed. That game where they had 2 14 pt leads, had the Patriots on the ropes big time and were a few plays from a successful go ahead drive in the final minutes?

He supposedly tore his ACL late last year according to reports - was not true. Let's wait for the facts instead of so and so says.

I'd prefer the Pats have the easiest path to the one seed possible. Best way for that to happen is 6 easy wins on the schedule.

That would be the reason gase wouldn't want him.

No. we insist on concluding this right now. The Dolphins are just going to have to put him on IR before any examinations because we need move on from this thread.

you mean the last playoff game they have played, going 13-19 since?

It's the same knee he suffered a partial tear last year. If confirmed the ACL tear watch for Dolphins fans to blame their medical staff for not getting Tanny under the knife last December.

The question is, is that correlated or once recovered a injure like that is always a totally "new injury" if that makes sense?

They can add the team doctors the enormous list of excuses for Ryan Tannehill's failures. We already have every coach and coordinator who has ever been there (besides Gase, so far), every general manager, the offensive line, the receivers, the running backs, the defense, global climate change, and the vast right wing conspiracy.
