11 v 11

Cooks beats Gilmore, competitive coverage

Hogan catch in zone

flea flicker to Jules

Guessing "Ebs" is Nate Ebner
BTW- That was pretty good coverage by Gilmore on Cooks. He showed great recovery from that good stop move by Cooks.

On the other side - If you are wondering if Brady and Cooks will eventually get in sync, this is a very positive look. The ball and Cooks were right on the spot.....and they had to be.

Time to make a d line trade if Nink has retired would great to see Kidder do his best Nink impression
I don't think nink had a big role anyway.
Ealy and flowers are #1s. The 2 rookies will play especially rivers in passing downs.
I also expect to see guy at LDE on running downs.

Cooks beats a double team of J. Jones + S

Jacoby coverage sack; Moore's guy blanketed

Jacoby still slow making reads

Butler sick coverage on Hogan in RZ

Maybe BB knew what he was doing when he traded so many picks in a strong draft year, and loaded up on UDFAs.

Would anyone be disappointed in Kenny Moore's performance if he had been say, a 4th or 5th round pick?
Way too early to ask that question

This line is confusing from Bedard. He's not sure what that means but he says it's "not optimal"? Guys get beat all the time, even Gronk. Somehow losing one or two battles in camp and that takes away his 7 year career resume of superior blocking ability? I don't get that. It's stuff like that that makes me hesitant to subscribe.
Christ, Dawg, he just made an observation, not a pronouncement. If you don't want to subscibe, don't.

It's fair to make an observation, but to declare "not optimal" after it? I don't know, it just sounds alarmist to me.

Don't know what's up with Ealy. Hope it works out - the guy's got talent to burn.

That said, I was jacked when they went and got a very underrated Lawrence Guy. he can do a lot of things very well, and I've never heard anyone question his work ethic or professionalism.

Obviously Cooks and Gilmore are the steals of the off-season, and Ealy could way outperform his cost, but Guy is someone who could hang around for a long time and quietly become a Nink/Vrabel type of dependable performer. That's his MO.

Agreed, but the major point being that many people were surprised that BB traded away most of his picks in a strong draft year, but it also meant a strong UDFA class was there to be had and BB maximized his resources.

It's looking very good with some of the guys BB traded for and some early impressions among the UDFAs.

Sucks to be a DB in these non contact scrimmages. QB will never be touched and WRs can advance down field with zero fear of getting their heads torn off.
That being said, the Brady to Cooks bomb was so sweet

OK, fair enough. Personally I won't be alarmed by anything (outside of injuries) until after the 3rd preseason game.

BTW- having your "best blocking TE in the league" wind up on the ground after 2 straight run blocks IS NOT optimal....just not very important at this point in camp. What I would have liked to know from Bedard was not so much that Gronk wound up on the ground, but WHO put him there?

Cooks TD vs. Coleman

Richards great breakup vs Gronk in RZ. He looks good

Cooks is blowing up Twitter man. I cannot be more fired up right now.
I hope none of you are busy on most Sundays, some Mondays and a few Thursdays between September and January. You won't want to miss the fireworks we are likely going to see. Injuries . . . that's all that scares me. I don't expect the OL to regress. Injuries should be the only thing to stop this team.
