This thread is amazing. Thank you guys for all the updates!!

One thing that's intrigued me is the KR/PR spot. I saw Cooks mentioned as a PR, which would be incredible, but at the same time gives me pause as you're exposing your potential top target to injury.

However, a thought occurred to me - Edelman is potentially one of the best punt returners in history, but has been used sparingly in that role due to the same reason as stated above - exposing your top WR to injury. BUT, this year he is no longer the top WR... Is it possible that BB will be more comfortable letting Edelman return punts with Cooks in the fold? The WR depth chart is also just stacked as it is, so it would be at least a bit easier to absorb an Edelman injury than it would have been in years past (would still suck though.) Is the Edelman injury risk worth the trade-off of fielding a game-breaker at PR?

So who is all in the mix there? Obviously, Flowers and Ninkovich. Rivers, and Ealy, too. How about Wise and Guy? Is the latter a DT? I honestly haven't familiarized myself with either of the last two, yet.
My guess
Flowers DE who can move inside in sub
Nino. DE who will play mostly early downs
Ealy. DE who can move inside in sub
Rivers. DE who will mostly play in sub
Wise. DE who can play in sub and would be mostly likely DE to move inside if he is one the field with others who can
Guy. DT who could move outside on run downs.

Yeah, I've read quite a few reports about his versatility. I'm excited to see all of the additions to the DL, but I'm especially interested in this guy and the continued improvement of Flowers. Flower is becoming one of my favorite players on the whole team. I really like watching him play.

My biggest problem this offseason is not being able to decide am I more excited about O or D ..

I've had exactly the same thought, great minds think alike, ehh?

More seriously, I agree with your thought, and it will be interesting to see if Edelman returns more punts now that the Patriots have other go-to options at receiver (and TE with Gronk back).

BB coached their star Cunningham a bit @ their Pro Day . sent him to Houston for some maturing . and invited the staff to Foxboro to see how he wants his (future) players to be coached..

Nice article on our binkie Foster here:
New England Patriots' D.J. Foster continues to learn both running back and wide receiver positions
__

Sophomores going strong is real:

D.J. Foster made an impressive over-the-shoulder catch on a deep route toward the back corner of the end zone. Brissett placed the ball in a perfect spot, and Foster, facing tight coverage, reeled it in and stayed inbounds while falling to the ground.
__

And this certainly shows:

The 195-pound Foster has not added weight this offseason, but he has shifted his body composition to add more muscle mass.

"Physically, I feel good," Foster said Tuesday. "Definitely taking care of my body more. That was the biggest thing I took away from my rookie year."

__

It will be interesting (and probably a bit painful) to watch RB situation unfold. One would almost call for a minor injury . esp. now with 2 IRs able to return..

This certainly is a surprise . seemed to be the longest shot..

Good to see DT emerging ..
