Cutler to Retire and work with Fox

Well its a shame, even though Cutler sucks if you are expecting him to be a top QB, in a league starving for quality QBs someone somewhere is losing a chance to improve his team.

Hes just 34.

  1. Not a very good QB, so there are a lot of better options either in place or looking for work.
  2. Locker room cancer, so you don't want him around a young, or rebuilding, team, and he's not going to work with a hard ass coach.

Which teams had a starting position open, and don't fit into either of those categories?

As bad as it was to see Cutler play football, it might be worse to listen to him talk about it. He doesn't seem to be a good fit.
I bet hes a worse commentator than he was a QB, and he was pretty bad. I just don't see what fox sees in him.

Oh my god! Cutler is by far the dumbest QB I've ever seen! Are Fox stupid or something?

Cutler can't read defenses and bails after his 1st look. The Pats Defensive players said this in 2014 and I remember him doing just that when a big big play was available to him had he not bailed. Jay Cutler should have been cut YEARS ago. It was unbelievable how the bears didn't cut him. And then that one year the Bears offensive coordinator called Cutler out publicly and then Aaron Rodgers goes up for bat for him. Lol what!??! Jay Cutler is the biggest joke of a quarterback this decade. And when they gave him a new contract. WTF! Bears should have never done that. No wonder BB is dominating the league with idiot ownership/front office like that. Jay Cutler should have been out of the NYJFL* a long time ago.

Now Fox is the latest idiot to hire his service. If he can't read defenses, I don't think he's going to be a good analyst.

Jay Cutler should write a book on how to get rich and be incompetent at his job at the same time. Pathetic.

The only thing more pathetic than Jay Cutler are the Bears and Fox.

I dont get it by all account he wasnt well liked by teammates and lacked Charisma how does that translate to being an analyst/announcer. I swear every turd that retires is scooped up immediately.

It's a winning formula in our society today.......

Hmm... Denver?

49ers too, they were so bad the past few years I wouldn't even call them a rebuilding team, I think they need to improve to even get eligible for that label.

Jets, Cardinals also are in need of QB, but are in totally different situations.

I get that Cutler doesn't have any chip on his shoulder and probably would suck more just moving from one dumpster fire to another, he is not going to get a chance in a team with a good situation, maybe Denver but I think it's not going to happen.

It's not about his body language you see on the field. It's that he can't read defenses to save his life. He's an idiot! The Bears are even bigger idiots for holding on to him for so long.

maybe Fox is just trying to copy CBS with their tony romo hire.
.
Could be . . . but that would mean CBS is in a much better situation. I have tons more respect for Romo than I could for two Jay Cutlers.

He would have made a hell of a pitch man for Marlboro.

Very strange hire. Will he care about the game he's "announcing" ?

Can't be much worse than Joe Buck.

I can't believe how he just faded away to nothing

his retirement barely causes a ripple in the sports world

he should take a year off... oh wait, he already did

I remember a DAL @BUF game in 2007 In which the 'Boys should have blown out the Bills, except for the fact that Romo threw five picks and Nick Folk had to win it on a long FG as time expired.

One of the sideline hotties caught Romo as he was coming off the field and asked something like, "How did it feel to throw five interceptions?"

Romo's laughing response: "Five? Is that all? It felt like twelve! Jeez, I was bad out there today!"

Now, based on that I'll watch Romo at least once. Cutler? Not a chance.

The Bears were the only reason he was still in the NYJFL* It's mind boggling how idiotic they were giving him that last contract.

Supposedly, he was very funny /knowledgable/ charming etc. on the Bears radio, according to reddit.. Fwiw
