TB12 the WOAT of color commentators on FOX

Yes he is the GOAT of NFL QB's but he is horrible as a color commentator. Cringe worthy awkward talk. He is Captain obvious with a high squeaky voice. Not nearly as good as Romo, even when Romo is bad.
TB12 will be on the Super Bowl this year...see for yourself.
Supposedly his agent says he is going to stay on Fox for the full 1o years. Not even sure how this is allowed when he is part owner of the Raiders.

The worst for me was Jason Witten. He sounded dumb as a rock and was just terrible…

The only two good Pats on TV are Edelman and Rodney. Brady is not great and Gronk is terrible. McGinest was good too, but he’s not on tv anymore.

Very few people know the game like Tom. What the hell was Brady supposed to do when FOX proposes to make him 375 million bucks richer by joining their broadcast team? He will get better with experience, can't be the GOAT in everything he does.

Joe Montana was brutal as a commentator also; as was Bill Walsh. I think TB12 is meh but better than those guys. I hated listening to Namath “struggling,” Pompous Butthurt Bob Trumpy, and of course the Double Murderer himself. I never liked Collinsworth who I think simply co-opted Trumpy’s BS tough guy shtick, but what makes NBC unlistenable for me is Creepy Mike Tirico’s constant shrieking, muting is essential for me if I want to watch their broadcast.

To be fair, the shelf life for all these guys is pretty short, it’s a very tough job I think. So I can give a bunch of slack to the best player in Pats history as he tries his hand at this.

I think his commentary is too often rah-rah jock speak and not often does he go out of his way to educate the viewer on how a NFL QB would be processing the pre-play reads and in-play routes to find open targets.

It's sad that FOX is trusting its biggest games, up to and including the Super Bowl, to someone still learning on the job.

Why should we have to put up with that when Greg Olsen was already fully up to speed?

The reason is some exec at FOX got a giant hard-on for Tom and rolled up the Brinks truck.

It was stupid then, and is still stupid now.

I think he's been fine but he does play Captain Obvious sometimes.. I just don't understand the need to do this (besides $ and having your name out there - I guess that solves it).

Especially now that he's a part of the Raiders.. why not drop the commentating and focus on that?
