Just realised Malik Mcdowell didn't go.

There could still be a qb injury that forces someome to give up a first roumder, give it time. Pats are getting robbed if they dont get a least a second for him.

Seriously guys, Peterman is the real deal. Whoever is getting him is getting a Fracnhise QB
Lol no, no he's not. He might be a backup for a handful of years, but he's not a pro starter prospect at all. He doesn't have the arm, doesn't have the size, and doesn't have the accuracy (61% completions in a good, not great conference), doesn't have the track record (14-10 as a starter, meh)

Basically, he handed off to James Conner 1000 times, and threw on play-action (less than 5000 yards in 2 seasons). He's good at play action. He panics when he gets off his second read.

You could put him in your system for 3 or 4 years and develop a competent backup. He can read defenses at the line, and he can play under center - but I don't know where you get 'franchise QB' from this guy.

Interesting first round.

Jets take a safety at #6? Will Adams be able to cover gronkowski?

Buffalo made a nice trade, then drafts a replacement for Gilmore.

Miami takes a pass rusher that I really liked.

Glad we kept jimmy and butler.

Hes 6 2. Hes tall enough. Size debunked. If your lookimg a completion percentage, I suggest you reevaluate, Hes very accurate. isnt bothered by pressure. Good footwork. Joe Montana had average arm strength. Arm strength is the most over rated thing they evaluate

why? if we win the Super Bowl and Tom is still playing like a god, why would you be so enamored with JAG? There is not anything out there yet to tell you he is the second coming of Rodgers or Young.

Much more likely to be a system QB than anything resembling either of those guys.

So what will happen if brady still look's lío brady and wins number 6. Bye jimmy?

Adams was the best player in the draft, as far as I'm concerned. They were extremely fortunate he fell to them. Very Cam Chancellor-y.

I don't get the hate on this board for jimmy G. He won't be this and he won't be that. How the hell you know?! Brady will be our QB but if loyko was right about what they offered for jimmy G then i don't get why he
wasn't traded.

I don't necessarily disagree with you. No one knew Brady was going to be what he became. People seriously debated whether to take Ryan Leaf over Peyton Manning. In 1984 we drafted Tony Eason before the Dolphins drafted Dan Marino... No one knows which one is going to become great. So you really don't know if Jimmy is going to be better than these taken tonight in the draft. And the GMs know this.
JG is 10x more ready than the guys drafted tonight. He demonstrated in live regular season action that he's a playa, and he's also been around the best coaches and mentor for 3 years and has 2 rings. He can definitely step in tomorrow and lead, he's not a question mark like the draftees. NE just didn't have him on the trading block, as reported by Schefter, which is hard for us to believe but it was true. BB wants him on the team this year, he likes the luxury of having a proven starter as his backup QB.

too high for Jimmy
I really don't get that. I would think would be an ideal QB to go get. I would have given up a lot if I were the Browns especially because they have so many picks. Jimmy is the immediate starter and still under his rookie contract. If he he works out you gladly pay him to be your franchise QB. If not, you let him go and go draft a QB next year.

We know good DEs are going to fall to 72 but i hope a good value LB does so the Pats have that option.

Bowser, Anderson, Williams, Rivers, Cunningham and McMillian could all make sense at 72 possibly. I hope a few make it so we can decide if we want to go LB at that spot or just take the best pass rusher then and there.

Highly doubt Butler is traded at this point as without a 5th year option the value of a pick goes way down so I doubt we use 72 on a CB unless something crazy happens.

If we turned down a 1st and second then honestly they think he could be the future.

Floats the ball too much for my liking. I think he's a solid backup but I don't think he's a starter you'd want to rely on.

If you're 6'2" and you can't run, he's not 'tall enough'. Name me the 6'2" Pocket QB who's successful in the NFL not named Drew Brees, who is decently mobile even in his advanced age. I'll wait.

Joe Montana was drafted in 1979, and the West Coast Offense was still a new thing. You may as well compare him to the leather helmet QBs.

His career comp % in college is exactly 60%. 61% as a starter. That's not 'very accurate'. Mitch Trubisky, who sucks, completed 68% this year. He is good under pressure, and he's a smart kid with good footwork, but he panics after his second read, which is fine for a backup, but that's not franchise QB stuff.
