It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I think all six stick, that's a really solid WR corps to bring into the season, and since Slater isn't really a WR they'd really only be carrying 5, which is about right for a team with as many 3 and 4 WR sets as we have.
Wow, I forgot he made that clutch 4th and 3 catch in the super bowl. That 2 pt conversion though was the biggest in history
So now we just need a #3 TE and a developmental OT. Nice
I'm genuinely happy to read about this, he's been so under appreciated by so many, here's hoping to his crucial role in SB LI and many more before that to be finally recognized by the GDT all-stars...yeah...I should lower my expectations...
Slater shouldn't count at that position. I'd be thrilled to start the season with those first five.WR roster cut downs will be interesting to see, if/when anyone flashes a lot of potential during training camp.
Cooks
Edelman
Mitchell
Hogan
Amendola
Slater
The # of WR on the final roster has been 6 each of the last 3 seasons. There are 6 guys listed above - any cuts likely? Who's your first cut?
Amen! Did not need another blown Superbowl.Danny Amendola was never the Wes Welker replacement [some] had hoped for when we signed him. But he's given us more clutch plays than we could've expected.

Whoever that Slater guy is will have a tough time cracking the lineup at WR. Is he any relation to the special teams captain?
Here's your solution: list Slater as a safety. He's spent time at that position and has been just as (in)effective there as he has at WR.Count them however you want. Over the last 3 seasons, the Patriots have had 5 WR + Slater on the team. The point is that they're seemingly unlikely to carry 6 WR + Slater, given prior team building history, so anyone new will have to take the spot of one of the guys currently on the roster, listed above.
