Kevin King had a 6.56 3-cone. Holy crap. Dez King had a 6.67, Howard Wilson 6.68, Budda - 6.76, Awuzie - 6.81.

And to make @reamer all giddy, Gareon Conley had a 6.68.

I don't unless they plan on carrying 4 TEs. They have bigger needs at DE, DT and CB than they do at TE, imho. Though, that could change by draft time.

You are looking at it the wrong way around - the hand size doesn't matter if he catches the ball cleanly and naturally. And so far from what I heard from reamer he looks pretty good catching balls.

He did have some fumbles and drops, but everyone does. The question is whether or not they're outliers. (I assume you're discussing Kittle?)

And we'll agree to disagree on this with me pointing to Aaron Dobson (as just one example) who had no issues to speak of catching throws from College QBs, but double clutched most everything he saw from Brady. ..

Actually, the original message where I talked about small hands was in reference to
@PatsGuy getting all giddy over KD Cannon and him thinking that having small hands wouldn't matter.

Yeah sorry about the misquote, I am working through the thread right now and just brainfarted. But you got my point.

Look, generally I agree with you on preferring big hands but ultimately this is just a tool to find people who catch the ball consistently, right ?

I wouldn't exclude someone with <10 hands just because of the measurement but look even more closely at his tape and invite him for a visit to see whats going on.

In terms of Dobson I'd just cautiously say that you gotta look at all of that on an individual level. You will find enough players that have >10 hands and still just can't get it done.

Special teams from day one. I'm not sure BB will ise him on O & D but he certainly could play either. I see him as a long-term Chung replacement personally and could replace Jordan Richards on the roster this year.

I agree. I think if he shows enough for BB to think that he could in addition to safety also be a slot corner then it really becomes an intriguing choice.

I wouldn't rule out the Florida corners. Not the best fit athletically, but if they fall, the value will be there. And wouldn't rule out Awuzie, King, Lewis and Kazee as slot guys.

It had nothing to do with hands being greater than 10". It had to do with the idea that just because someone was fast that it would compensate for small hands.. KD Cannon's hands are 8 7/8". And the only thing I said was that small hands make a difference if he can't catch from NFL QBs..

Reading this thread, I didn't see anyone mention Cannon's hands one way or the other during the drills. That always leaves me suspicious.

And considering that Baylor is in some doo doo because of their football team there has to be a red flag on Cannon that needs to be researched before it can be cleared.

Kittle has small hands for a TE.. 9 1/4. I could take a step down on the blocking for someone with bigger hands who runs the routes and catches the ball while providing above average blocking..
