I know he gets sacks year in and year out but he never came off to me as a 15M a year player. Maybe half that.

IDK. If they franchise him it is all LBs.Will hightower get tagged? I wonder if hightower's looking for 5 years. I would give him the same contract as collins but idk if he want's that. Seem's like hightower want's to be the highest paid linebacker in the league.

To be the highest paid ILB he needs to average 12.5M a year. I'd do it. Also be the highest paid for 4-3 OLBs. The issue is the 3-4 OLBs who are paid a ton.
Not completely unfunny either.
What are you basing this opinion on? Anything? Will hightower get tagged? I wonder if hightower's looking for 5 years. I would give him the same contract as collins but idk if he want's that. Seem's like hightower want's to be the highest paid linebacker in the league.

Hightower should be paid more than Collins, because he is a much better LB.
I have not seen any comment from Hightower saying it matters to him to be the highest paid LB in the league, or anything even implying that is his priority.
If you want Hightower, you will have to pay him more than Collins. That bar is set, and he will absolutely make more than that on the open market. So should Hightower be paid more than Collins because the Browns overpaid Collins?
I think the franchise tag is likely and the Pats will see if they can get Hightower to accept a longer term deal.
If not, then he will be gone next year.

There is no question at all that Hightower is a better football player than Collins.Did you know that collins will be making more money than luke kuechly? I don't see how hightower deserves more.

Do you really doubt that HT will get more than Collins as a FA?
If you are going to pay him 15 for one year you ought to pay him 55 for 4.I just don't feel that bill shouldn't be influence by some idiot gm that overpaid collins. Bill won't overpay. I would hate to lose hightower but i think he will be tagged even if it mean's playing for 15 in one year. I can see them drafting a LB as well for a possible replacement for him.
